Corrine, I've been taking lessons for one and a half(ish) years now. The Ann Arbor school is like this: They meet 3 hours a day in the morning, 5 days a week, for 6 weeks and then have a 1 week vacation and repeat. Jane, the course director, is flexible if you can't go exactly 5 days a week. It take...

Contacts? Oscar you're killing me! No, no, contacts are fine. Glasses are ust usually better when working to improve your vision just because you can take them off and give your eyes a chance to work. With contacts your eyes get less of a chance to do anything on their own unless you take them out. ...

The Alexander Technique

Hey! There was some interest about the Alexander Technique in a topic on vision improvement, so I thought I'd post an explanation of what it is. Like the Wai Diet, it can either be applied to specific things (acne::back pain) or just overall improve your health. What is this Alexander Technique? Tak...

Oh! Oscar, have you worked with panoramic vision yet? There's two types of seeing: focused vision and panoramic vision. With focused seeing, you focus on seeing the tiny details of whatever's in front of you. With panoramic vision, you still see an object, but open up your peripheral vision and see ...

Alright, so by hand it takes people between 45 - 90 minutes and the electric juicers don't seem to lower the shelf life of the juice? That's what I seemed to get out of other threads.

Oscar,
Sorry I pretty much didn't answer your question. What have you been doing to relax your larger muscles and your eyes?

The key is in visualization rather than direct relaxation. First you need to understand the anatomy of the eye inside and out (which unfortunately I don't yet ... I'd love to come across a 3D model, because a written description with pictures isn't quite doing it for me). Then, depending on your con...

Cool Nick! Actually next fall I'm going to start training in Ann Arbor to become a teacher. I'm really excited. 3 hours of Alexander work on myself a day, 5 days a week ... it should be so sweet.

Making orange juice: presses VS extractors

I just purchased a centrifugal juicer and I see what people mean about the juice going bad rather quickly. Luckily the packaging was really easy so it's definately possible for me to wash it, repackage it, and return it no problem. But before I do that, I still don't understand how manual presses wo...

Amazing. Gavriel the post is so inspiring. I swear I'm teary and I never come close to crying. It's funny, because since I started the diet everyone keeps asking me, "So when are you going to stop this?" And I don't have an answer for them. I don't even crave munch food. At all. Just the thought of ...

If you're having trouble with Bates I have a (long) suggestion: A year and a half ago I began studying the Alexander Technique to help with my TMJ conditions. In short, it is a method to return yourself to your most natural self. You want the energy, posture, and moment of a child. This is obtained ...

jmbattle: What brand olive oil do you have right now? The freezer test can be found at http://www.acneboard.com/AcneQandA/Forum12/000036.html Basically, if you put OO in the fridge for 24 hours and it develops things that look like snowflakes, it's good quality. Otherwise it is either high quality t...

As much as I can swallow, which tends to be not so much. I'm going to try eating more avacados (2 a day instead of 1). I am able to mix a lot of oil with bananas and apples, but it just doesn't seem to go well with much else. I'm still trying to find a good quality olive oil (running freezer tests)....

Balancing blood sugar

I've been on the diet for about 2 weeks now. At first I had really good results. I was both energetic and breakout free. Then I bought some macadamia and brazil nuts online that I shell myself, but I started breaking out from them. Ok, so I eliminated nuts from my diet. However, I then had trouble b...

How do you make 3 quarts of orange juice a day? Do I need a juicer?

Thanks.
