OJ study, lowers LDL

I thought this was interesting:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3750609/

summary:

Long-term orange juice consumption is associated with low
LDL-cholesterol and apolipoprotein B in normal and moderately
hypercholesterolemic subjects

Re: durians

I'd probably move them in the house depending on the time of year. If you have a space inside you can more easily control the hours of light (HID lamps), temp, humid, etc when the outside conditions are not favorable. I would not try to grow them in soil but rather a 'soil-less' mix and add nutrient...

reseting new posts

Is there a way to mark all posts as read? If I click on 'read unread posts' I get hundreds of posts. I haven't been around for a while and would rather read stuff that is current as to participate. Most forums allow you to reset this but I was not able to locate this function.

Re:

What about mixing coconut oil with orange juice ? Or making an emulsion with the help of maybe an emulsifier? Is that possible ? Egg yolks contain some emulsifiers I think. Have you tried adding an egg yolk to the mix? see: http://www.exploratorium.edu/cooking/eggs/eggscience.html "Egg proteins cha...

Re: durians

I found a store near my home (southern california, south of LA) that sells them. I gave up on buying in bulk and reselling them. I am currently learning about plant cultivation and have several tropical fruit trees in containers that are doing well. I have not tried to grow Durian yet but plan to tr...

I don't have any plans on raising Salmon yet. I wanted to look into it, but that wont be for a while. If I can't raise health Talapia then I'll give up. If I do raise healthy Talapia then I'll be looking for a fish that is more of what I want. Something with high fat content. I live in southern Cali...

I am raising gold fish for feeders, but black soldier fly larvae are good food for carnivorous fish as I currently understand it, I haven't yet tried this.

raising fish

I've been playing with aquaponics. A fish tank is used to water hydroponic fruits (cucumber, tomatoes, and melons for now). I feed my fish black soldier fly larva which are good fat and protein sources. I feed the bsf my scrap food (peels, egg whites, shells, coffee, etc) I can easily raise Talapia....

Have you considered getting an Olympic bar with bumper plates? They are kind of pricey but you can just buy the plates you need and not get a full set then add to it as needed.

It is really nice to be able to drop the bar from high and not worry about damaging anything...

It is joke. A pun on something that sounds like a sexual reference.

Like if I said that is huge in response to seeing a large fruit, someone may say, "that's way she said"
