Re: folic acid before pregnancy
When molecules are identical, they are the same. Even when coming from very different sources. Similarly, glucose in refined sugar is the same as glucose in fruits. That doesn't mean that sugar consumption has the same effect as fruit consumption. Folate is folate. Taking supplements is very differe...

Re: Tip on cleaning eggs from Salmonella
Bad bacteria train your defense. Just as viruses do. The more you expose yourself to bacteria such as Salmonella, the better your defense gets at dealing with it. Ozone is a powerful oxidant ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozone ) which might cause cholesterol to oxidize. Not recommended at all. H...

Re: Excessive maternal orange intake & pregnancy disorders
Hi Emeira, Congratulations! A word of caution; it's a case study (one person). One can find any correlation in case studies. I would like to think that any fruit, nuts and vegetable consumption might be linked to DA in case studies. A very important factor would be the ripeness of the oranges (/frui...

Re: folic acid before pregnancy
Yes, my wife took folic acid each time.
Its correct that too much folic acid has adverse effects, but that was from > 5 mg / day. (one study)
About 70% of studies show positive effects.
The other ones are neutral.Gao et al
So, i would recommend low dosage supplement

Re: Exercise routine for women besides bootybuilding ?
Hi Marcia, Sorry for the late response. yes, you can do all exercises for men. Since you dont want to lose weight, its easier, because losing weight and gaining muscles require opposing conditions. So, focus on consuming loads of carbs immediately post-exercise. And protein. that stimulates muscle g...

Re: Coronavirus
The world is just starting to get infected. Africa, India, South America etc are in the early stages. So, considering there are currently 79k deaths worldwide, that'd mean around 310k per year.
im guessing initial annual deaths may be 5 fold higher than the flu numbers.

Up to half of the world's population is infected by toxoplasmosis, but have no symptoms Flegr et al

Just like the flu may kill you if your immune system is weak.

UK, France, Netherlands, Sweden have quite a bit less testing in comparison to Norway, Switzerland, Germany, Italy. Yes. Containing the virus is about a whole package of essential moves. Testing is one of them. Sweden, UK and The netherlands have/had more or less decided to let it go; not trying to...

...something does not match. That is because no 2 yolks are the same. So, it depends on your source. i dont know about the USDA, but at least the European studies (source 2) list averages of many (169 in this case) samples, so i always opt for source 2. According to your calculation how much does o...
