Re: Peri-menopause and more
Welcome back, slea! Is it possible that if this is genetic I will need to take the supplements? That may be helpful, indeed. You may try them separately to see what the effects are. You might start with the progesterone cream, for example. Hello, RRM! I was on progesterone before the supplements, a...

Re: Peri-menopause and more
Welcome back :) Normally I'd say that for most of the hormonal and micro-nutrient issues it's good to increase the intake of (raw) egg yolks. For B6 it's mostly fatty fish. Check here: http://www.waiworld.com/waidiet/nut-foodpernut.html Would you consider going 100% Wai for a month or so, to see wh...

Peri-menopause and more
First off, I have known of this diet since 2005. In the first few years I was 100-80% faithful. Over the last few years, not so much. I still loosely follow a cooked version, but I am no where near where I used to be. I am still dairy and gluten free with the exception of a few social reasons a mont...

Re: Low blood sugar
Thanks for the replies. I will give that a shot next time. Usually I try to eat an apple or two with some nuts, but that still leaves me feeling unsatisfied. I will definately try the oj with sugar instead. Can I do egg yolk with it too, or is the olive oil a better option?

Low blood sugar
I've been doing the Wai diet off and on for seven years. I have always had low blood sugar problems, way before I found Wai. When I am 100% I don't have this problem. Duh, I know. Unfortuately, I fall off the wagon sometimes and that plays with my blood sugar level. I am still striving to sta...

Re: Gamma Oryzanol
Hi Oscar,
He wants to use it to raise his testerone levels. He thinks it will help him lose abdominal fat if his testosterone levels are higher. Thanks!

Gamma Oryzanol
RRM, First, I didn't know where to post this, so I am putting it here, since it is not Wai recommended! :) Have you heard any thing regarding rice bran oil? My husband is considering using it. I have been following Wai for several years now and know you don't recommend seed oils, so I wanted to see ...

Fructose conversion
RRM, Question: Does fruit sugar get stored more readily in the liver than other sugars? And are other types of sugars, ie. honey, dextrose etc, more deliverable to the muscle? The reason I am asking is because a friend of mine is saying fruit sugar is stored mostly in the liver and other types of su...

Natural Body building
RRM, My boyfriend wanted me to submit this question for him on this thread subject: I want to do a natural body building contest. I am already at around 8% body fat. I have been eating wai for three months now for health, I have no skin problems. I am 5'9.5 and started out at 188 and now weigh 170. ...

Hello Sinead, I would definitely give the diet more time. Are you sure you don't have rosacea? It sounds similar to the symptoms that I used to have. I started out with cystic acne in my early 20's and took accutane, but that was before I knew about this way of eating. As I got into my 30's I develo...

Encouraging others
Hi everyone! Lately, I have been thinking how to explain my lifestyle better to others. I get asked all the time about what I eat, how I stay so slim and young looking. When I start telling them about it, I am always struggling with how to explain the diet with out making it seem too difficult. The ...
