Gosh, those Larabars look delicious!

I am surprised that their shelf life is so long however - how can they remain for up to 12 months if they are unprocessed and contain only natural ingredients?

Take care,
James

Yes, I recall RRM recommended that combination once before - I tried it the following night and practically nodded-off in the kitchen in mid-conversation! ;)

These days however, I'm rather partial to a cup of mashed-up banana and three yolks, yummy!

(peels a banana) CurlyGirl, a truly fine choice of beverage (he says, nodding at a packet of Rooibush on the shelf)! Back in the UK, I used to treat myself on a Saturday afternoon by watching the football results (up the Canaries etc.), enjoying a fresh cream apples turnover and a big cup of Rooibus...

CurlyGirl, may I ask if you still drink tea whilst maintaining a raw lifestyle?

Well, from what I can gather, the other residents here now refer to me as 'crazy James' (although how much of this is due to my insistance on following a raw food lifestyle is debatable...!); each evening they greet me as I arrive, carrying bags of reduced fruit, and politely ask questions about the...

May I ask, what is the benefit of eating just the whites? I am still a little curious about eating just the yolk and discarding the white - friends suggest that a large amount of the nutritional properties of the whole egg are being lost in this way. I would appreciate any links to scientific journa...

Day old avocado + banana drink?

Good evening folks, Yesterday morning, I prepared a breakfast smoothie consisting of half an avacado, three bananas, a spoonful of honey, a generous amount of olive oil, and enough water to help the whole thing blend down to a smooth liquid consistency. I drank a couple of glasses and poured the res...

I'm not entirely sure, but I seem to recall reading that egg yolks do not combine terribly well with fruits, particularly citrus, acidic-like oranges.

Egg yolks with mashed bananas on the other hand; now that's a champion combination!

James

Well, I must say, I have something of a sweet tooth, but have been rather good in recent weeks at remaining raw. However good chocolate is one thing I simply cannot pass up - CurlyGirl, my sister sent a bar of Green & Black's dark chocolate from home for my birthday; my eyes nearly watered upon eati...

Try drinking the juice slowly - small sips at a time, rather than large gulps.

Also, perhaps peel your apples (with a vegetable peeler, not a knife, so that not too much of the fruit is lost) - the reduced fibre may aid digestion.

To be perfectly honest, the first time I consumed a raw egg yolk, I was pleasantly surprised - it tasted rather good then, and the three I drink in the evening before going to bed go down just as well! ;)
