Re: IF-diet with Wai foods
But when considering if it's optimal? I don't know man, you will burn proteins for glucose and rubbish is created inside your body. If by rubbish you mean urea, then yes. But as long as it dosent cause acne I dont really care if it is optimal for general health. If I can get away with eating only t...

Re: IF-diet with Wai foods
I'd never try it because I believe eating so much protein is not optimal. I think 3 grams + per kilo body weight is a lot, so I start out at 1,5 g/per kilo and see how it goes. I believe it works for fat loss because you simply can not squeeze as much calories in 8 hours as you would normally eat i...

IF-diet with Wai foods
In a few weeks I am starting a very interesting experiment. I have been on the Wai diet for several years now (3? 4? I lost count). Mostly I am satisfied with the diet. Mainly because it keeps me relatively free of acne. A few small pimples now and then, and some blackheads, but it is not affecting ...

Re: After 7 months on 100% Wai
Fictor are you 100% wai? If I consume only a little dirty protein my armpit starts smelling, but if I'm 100% I don't have the smelly armpits. I also asked a lot of people how they thought I was smelling and all said it was neutral. Even when I was smelling myself they couldn't. Yep, 100% for severa...

Re: Muscle-mass, working out, testosterone and acne
Yeah, I figured 10x10 was too much :) I will stick to the Wai rule of not lifting too heavy (too close to 1 RM) too not boost testosterone levels so much that it causes water retention and increased sebum production, leading to acne. Also, I am pretty new to execises like deadlifts and squats (never...

Re: After 7 months on 100% Wai
Changes in personal hygiene... - I started washing my face without soap and only with low mineral water (I think this helped my face skin as much as the diet itself) - Using only glycerin on face instead of destructive moisturizers (oils clog my face.. of course they won't clog healthy skin) - Wash...

Re: Muscle-mass, working out, testosterone and acne
Still no bad reaction in my skin! :)Just the usual odd pimple and a few blackheads now and then. Same as with isolating exercises. One warning though: 10x10 squatts gave me an inflamation in the achilles tendon after a feew weeks. I am going to do 10 reps for this exercise, but ju 4 sets, once the i...

Re: Muscle-mass, working out, testosterone and acne
Just to update on my training routine: I did the 10x10 isolating exercises up until recently. I maintained my weight and experienced some increase in strength and some muscle growth (mainly the smallest muscles, like biceps and triceps). I maintained a muscular body, but seemed to lack "posture" and...

Re: COD Liver oil
I think what he/she means is that cod liver oil has anti inflamatory properties (it has, acording to some research I have seen) and that this might help with inflamed acne. And also that (Weston) Price was right that cod liver oil is healthy. Personally I take cod liver oil on and of and I dont see ...

Re: What B12 supplement is most "Wai"?
Compared to other people of your age drinking milk etc. Yep, so nu surprises there :) Thats actually a good thing. In all countries where average bone mineral density is lowest, osteoporotic fracture rates are lowest too. (China, African countries) In countries where they store a lot of calcium in ...

Re: Polyphasic Sleep
I have yet to see one single scientific article about this thing actually working. My cousin and his friends tried out "Uberman" this summer and, as everybody else I know of who have tried it, failed miserably. It simply does not work in the long run.
The idea is cool, though

Re: What B12 supplement is most "Wai"?
The supplement has arrived! The capsules each contains 1000 mcg of methylcobalamin. The instructions say to take 1-3 capsules a day, with meals. I take 3 a day, planning to do so until my next test. If my levels are where the doctor says they should be, I will take 1 capsule every day while trying t...

Re: What B12 supplement is most "Wai"?
Thanks for the input guys! I am waiting for the B12 to arrive in the mail. In the mean time I have increased the amount of fish from 60 to 65-70 grams and the amount of yolks from 6 to 7. Not a lot, I know, but I am getting a lot of photo jobs these days (almost every week), so I need to look good, ...

Re: What B12 supplement is most "Wai"?
Have you tried increasing the amount spread over two meals (mornings and evenings)? I did that for a period, but my skin became less clear than it is now. It might have been due to other factors, but it is hard to experiment when my skin looks as good as it does now. I get compliments all the time,...
