I've read about non-eskimos (white guys) who have gone to live with the eskimos and had great health while there.
For how long were they there?

Putting the puzzles together, I have thinking that since we evolve in different parts of the world, we each have different metabolism pertaining to our food intake. I too begin to have my doubts about some contents in this site since they make sense but at the same time something it doesn't always a...

I did that too sometime back before I went raw. When I was in India aeons ago, we all sat cross-legged or sideways sitting for the ladies on a straw mat, our meals were placed on Plantain leaves and our hand as our "utensil". It was a very enlightening experience and the meal was even more pleasant ...

Well put Avalon. :D
I feel that fasting is a great transition, give time to think about things, fight cravings and beat addictions to foods/substances, flush out a ton of 'bad things' all at once as opposed to over several months/years.
Very true for me too avo. Very true.

Andyville,

Try drinking some honey water. Half tablespoon of honey in a cup of water with a squeeze of lime. If you want to break your fast, start with some soft fruits or else you will put a shock to your digestive system.

I was doing some readings and I came up with this journal article about how BPA is combined with insulin affects the formation of fat cells, hence disrupting weight regulation. Here's the article: http://www.jlr.org/cgi/content/abstract/43/5/676 Does anyone know if aluminium bottles are safe? There ...

Hi andyville, I did a 3 day fast and then a 5 day fast in the last two years. First day on my very first fasting period, I was terribly lethargic, bouts of nausea, it's normal, hunger was strong on the first day, again, normal. Towards the second day onwards, the hunger ceased all the way and I felt...

Dadasarah, The combination of fats together with fruits does not give me stomach problem. I've cut down my intakes of egg yolks from 7 to 2 a day ever since I found out that it was the cause of my acne. Yes I do crave for sweet fruits after a high fat meal which makes me want to eat more and more fr...

A very interesting article Avalon. Thank you. :D I believe it is time for me to reduce the amount of sweet fruits. Been on it for almost 7 months now and my health is not getting any better. :( Just recently, I am beginning to feel under the weather again. I've tried to cut down the fruits but it wa...
