Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
make them know that in the long run they need much more than that, I'd say at least 300 grams. Can you back that up? Look up the studies/research of the Weston A. Price foundation. They have several researchers backing all the claims I've been making. But, once again, I don't care too much about st...

Re: Misunderstood milk
Excellent arguments, Panacea. Like I said in our other discussion, I trust empirical/historical data way more than studies. People have been domesticating cattle and consuming large ammounts of raw milk and dairy for a long time. (On the other hand, no population has ever subsisted primarily of frui...

Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
but then why are all bodybuilders taking a lot of creatine? Because bodybuilders go for over-the-top muscle volume. Muscle volume is only maximized when the exercised muscle is overloaded with energy (creatine is muscle energy) immediately after exercise. Taking creatine maximizes energy loading, a...

Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
I see. Well, you have your reasons then. Everything has its ups and downs. Raw cheese doesn't have the liquid part of milk and it's months old food, so it lacks the B vitamins and probably also the enzymes. But it's also a good source of K2 and probiotics. And it's great food on the go. Lately I've ...

Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
Panacea, I just don't think milk is in any way superior to dairy/meat/fish/eggs and therefore I see no reason to do such restrictive and sometimes inaccessible diet.

Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
Also, Panacea, I couldn't agree more that water is not hydrating. In my personal empirical experience, sparkling mineral water is much more satisfying, precisely for containing a lot more electrolytes. But milk and fruit juices (I don't agree that we should drink veg juices, it still has a lot of an...

Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
RRM, yes, I had researched (after my last post) that those aminoacids aren't deemed "essential", but then why are all bodybuilders taking a lot of creatine? It only adds to the point that animal foods are more complete and provide more optimal nutrition. Panacea, I've never consumed any food as addi...

Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
I'm now eating a diet of only one food - raw milk. Technically I'm vegetarian because it's not the flesh of an animal, but it's obviously a zero plant-food diet. Wouldn't believe the number of people that are 'shocked' that raw milk is a complete food (even when it comes from cows or goats) and con...

Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
Plants also lack the essential fatty acids and aminoacids present only in animal foods. Exactly which essential amino acid do plants lack? Creatine, carnitine, taurine, and some others I think. I don't know if they're "essential", or how essential, but this, along with all the other nutrition aspec...

Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
TL;DR It's quite unlike that any human population has ever relied on 90% fruits 10% animals, and it's certain that the vast majority never did and still don't. Add that to we still not having many certainties on nutriton, add that to animal foods being 100% healthy, add that to being much more compl...

Re: Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
Thanks for replying RRM. First of all, let me say that I'm just trying to launch the discourse, and I'm skeptical/unsure about mostly everything regarding nutriton, cause I honestly think we still know so little. I don't doubt that it's easy to absorb vitamin C and certain B vitamins from plants, be...

Wai should be high in animal foods and low in fruit/carbs
Hello all - it's been a long time. First, I'd like to thank RRM and the rest who have taught me about this diet, years ago. I've been following it ever since, with some cheating, and I think it's done great things for my body. You guys have taught me extremely important things, which I still agree w...

Re: Male pattern baldness
I've been using Nizoral for 6 months now and my hair is considerably stronger and brighter. Hair loss and decreased a little bit already. Itching and dandruff have vanished. I use it every 3 days. If I delay a single day, my scalp starts getting messy and itchy and inflamed, like it has always been ...

Re: Male pattern baldness
I've just started using Nizoral. Although it is not officially recognized as a hair loss treatment, it seems to work: "Preliminary research suggests ketoconazole shampoo may be beneficial in men suffering from androgenic alopecia. Support for this comes from a study in 1998 that compared ketoconazol...
