Ya... that totally sounds like an impossible situation. I bet the backstage catering at the venues was the usual corn flakes and cold pizza huh :P yuckckckckck And you're probably like the typical musician, not really an explorer to look and search for stores at every location ;) Ya I know how that...

Actually, since you only went for a week... you could have brought a big bag of (unripe) avocado's or other fruits... in a separate bag with your hand baggage or even in your check-in luggage. Just declare if if they ask about it, smile and tell them you have terrible allergies and digestive proble...

Whenever I used to go on tour with a band, on tour buses, I would just find grocery stores or night stores in every town or city we would visit, and buy food like avocados and other fruits. Hope this helps. Such was not a common option on this tour. And in the immediate area, there were no viable s...

Did Seth make it back from tour? :| Yep, I made it back, although it was impossible to not avoid eating some traditional Filipino food. I didn't have the luxury to go to a supermarket and the only food available at some points was non-wai...It came down to either eat or starve for a while. It did c...

What would an 80KG man need per day of methionine and cysteine? Minimally 384 mg each. The WHO recommends 1040 each. (or more methionine compensating for less cysteine) That would take well over 5 eggs (including other foods) to reach. I suppose you could always take amino acids, right? I am curiou...

Way too low. In that case the limiting amino acids are methionine and cysteine, and this will supply you with only 138 mg methionine and 74 mg cysteine, which is 106 mg each (methionine compensates for cysteine), whereas a 70 kg man minimally needs 336 mg each... What would an 80KG man need per day...

only if you are vegan, omega 3 supplementation makes sense, and then walnut oil does not make that much sense, as you also need the omega 3s only present in animal food (and -oils) I recall you previously saying that fish oil and/or Cod Liver oil had bad fats as well. I was wondering which bad fats...

I was never big on sushi until a couple years ago, a little bit before Wai. Never did the all-you-can-eat thing. I can't eat very much in one sitting... I can't eat so much in one sitting anymore even if I wait a while to eat. I think the body adjusts to having smaller meals and loses its c...

RRM, if you are eating 1200 grams of bananas and drinking 32 oz of OJ, is that considered an adequate or low amount of good protein? I have not seen any negative effect in complexion whatsoever. It actually is the other way around if anything. Although I am only taking in fish once a week at this po...

Very intersting! This is a goal of mine, to cut back animal foods to maybe something like the supposed Hunza- every ten days or so. Maybe for good. I struggle with the right or wrong of flesh eating, but not enough yet to believe we can live healthily without any . It's great that you trusted yours...

If i recall correctly, insufficient protein could cause acne? I stopped all eggs and fish for a week to see what would happen. It didn't exacerbate my skin at all, nor did I loose any weight. (I actually gained a half a pound.) In fact, no ill effects were present at any time. After the week, howev...

I have recently begun experimenting with taking Cod Liver Oil to supplement O 3's since I am no longer eating 5 eggs on a daily basis (or fish all that often.) I believe that all cod liver oil is heated in some form or another. Heat needs to be applied to get the oil out of the liver of the fish. I...
