Gut issues and Glutamine

Hi, _______________ preamble I haven't posted for ages; not sure why. I was on the strict diet for some time, and then things were easy, and I didn't even feel a need for the site. After traveling it became hard to maintain, and I'm still not in a great position to choose my food (I'm now a live-in ...

Re: rosacea

rosacea.org says "it is not unusual for seborrheic dermatitis to appear concurrently with rosacea". In the past I'ev always thought it was seborrheic dermatitis, because of my dandruff, and dradle-cap as a baby, so maybe it's both? Maybe Ishould provide photos?

rosacea

So I'm quite certain I have Rosacea. I've done two 'quizes' and scored 10/10 and 14/15; and the symptoms describe my face very accurately. http://www.skincarephysicians.com/rosaceanet/rosacea_quiz.html http://www.rosaceafacts.com/rosacea-quiz-results.aspx I read this study, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.g...

Re: Electrical juice press = good investment

So, I'm back to stage 1 buying a new juicer. Re-reading this thread I'm still not certain whether to buy something like the Olympus, or the Solis. RRM, you said you'd used a manual juicer before, and that the electric is way faster. What kind of manual was it (cheap/expensive)? Maybe the quality of ...

Re: Male pattern baldness

Maybe a shampoo with Zinc, azelaic acid, and B5? The WaiWiki article linked earlier is a long read, but I gathered a shampoo containing these would be a solution without 'side effects'. I imagine a topical H-PGDS inhibitor would be extreme for many cases (I'm thinning on top, but I think it's mostly...

Re: Store bought juice

The wiki says acrylamide decomposes in the presence of acids, does that mean it will decompose in OJ? Also, here are some links comparing 'raw orange juice' which I assume means juice made fresh, and 'orange juice drink' which I assume means stuff like tropicana, although for the life of me I can't ...

Re: vitamin water

I've never heard of chirality; what's the issue with digesting vitamins in the wrong mirror formatting? It takes more time, or it just doesn't happen? Or side effects?

Wouldn't fat soluble vitamins be suspended by the omega 3 (which is a fat)?

They're really cute. Trix is a cool name; did you think of it, or is it an 'old name'?

Re: vitamin water

Well, I'll never buy one of those again, because I didn't feel good after drinking it (not super bad, but that feeling of having eaten something unhealthy). Next time if I must maybe I'll go for the chocolate bar. On the other hand, I did see in a grocery store in Canada a vitamin water made with re...

Re: vitamin water

Are the vitamins actually bioavailable? Is Drinking a bottle of vitamin water with natural flavourings and sucralos worse than drinking milk, or less bad? I'm stuck in the airport and it seemed a better choice than buying a sand which, but it tastes like chemical crap. http://i.imgur.com/12x6tJE.jpg...

Re: Poster boy for millk?

I asked a group of rural Russian kids once "what would you do if everything you thought you knew was wrong". Some of them said "id kill myself" and it didn't sound like a joke. When I was first tell my sister about Wai she made a comment like "so pretty much everything is the opposite of what most p...

Re: My current diet

So an update. These days I'm not playing piano at all, though some months ago I was offered a piano gig. I hadn't been playing any piano, but lots of guitar, and I took this gig though I was way out of practice. Somehow I managed to practice 8 hours, then 6 hours the next day plus 3 hours of perform...
