Re: fred's journal
4000kcal, I'm jealous. Is it hard to get in so many calories? What is your workout (sorry if you've mentioned before in your diary)? 4L of juice should be around 400g of sugar, but 60% of 4000kcal is around 600g I believe? Juicing and oil help to get the calories, so I don't have to force feed. Ban...

Re: fred's journal
Now my regimen looks like that : Workout on an empty stomach at wake up, then rest 1 hour until hunger comes back. During the day : 2.5L banana juice + 1.5L fruit juice (peach, nectarine, melon, etc.) In the evening before bed : 200g meat + home made mayonnaise (1 egg yolk+130g Olive oil) Oysters on...

Re: fred's journal
Did you start eating 2L of bananas recently ? Yes, I have slowly increased my banana juice intake when I got a sieve like the one RRM indicated here : http://www.waiworld.com/waitalk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3554 2L of banana a day for one month approximatively. When did you start eating bananas...

Re: Potassium / calcium / magnesium ratio
I am currently drinking peach and nectarine juice with banana juice. On cronometer (USDA), Ca/Mg : Nectarine : 6/9 Peach : 6/9 Navel orange : 43/11 Orange juice : 11/11 ?? Tangerines/mandarines : 37/12 It looks like nectarine and peach have still more Mg than Ca so they can't "improve" the ratio. I ...

Re: Potassium / calcium / magnesium ratio
So I am drinking a lot of banana juice (2L a day) and am experiencing cramps. In the past, I also noticed cramps when eating lots of bananas or dates. Eating oysters (contain more Ca than Mg) was a way to relief cramps. But I can't eat oysters everyday because they cost too much money. OJ is not ok ...

Re: fred's journal
So I am back to introducing some intermittent fasting in my regimen. For now I have skipped the "breakfast" for one mounth and simply started to eat (drink) after 12AM, sometimes 1 or 2PM until bed. I workout in the morning every other day. I don't exhaust myself (full bodyweight training for 40min)...

Re: Wai Warrior - for autophagy - AN EXPERIMENT
IMHO, eating when growth hormone and autophagie are at their peak (right after a fasted training) is not optimal, but it is obviously impossible to do otherwise with a window of only 2 hours to eat and exercice. In my experience, I don't want any food after a fasted vigorous training. Digestion is s...

Re: Wai Warrior - for autophagy - AN EXPERIMENT
I have been on WW one year now. [...] then i will increase fasting to achieve this. The fact that you need less energy intake can also be explained by the rest given to your digestive and hormonal systems during the fast. Your body is able to better digest food and assimilate nutrients after restin...

Re: Wai Warrior - for autophagy - AN EXPERIMENT
What is the best time to exercise? Digestion takes energy and blood. Blood going to digestion cannot go to the muscles. In line with this, my personal observation is that i perform better (most weight, most reps), if i exercise after fasting. If you exercise after fasting, a post-exercise meal is c...

Re: Wai Warrior - for autophagy - AN EXPERIMENT
Apparently many primates often consume their entire day's food intake in a single concentrated one-hour foraging window. http://phys.org/news/2013-12-in-depth-analysis-primate-habits.html Exactly. And then they rest / sleep. To my knowledge, bonobo and chimpanze who are the closest living relatives...

Re: Wai Warrior - for autophagy - AN EXPERIMENT
Why was synthesis greater than breakdown? Because there were plenty of nutrients available in their blood and lymphe prior to the exercise. Hence muscle growth due to the provocation of exercise. So it means that, in order to build muscles, you don't necessary need to eat right after exercice if yo...

Re: Wai Warrior - for autophagy - AN EXPERIMENT
I am considering giving WW a new test and wonder when is the best time to eat and train. Going to bed when stomach digestion ends is I believe the best thing to do as the body can focus during sleep on repairing/growing rather than digesting food. This requires to not go to bed right after eating, b...

Re: Juice yield
The most effective way to increase juice field is advanced ripening. If I let the bananas get dark brown on the outside (the peel) and soft, light-brown on the inside, I get over 90% juice! (less than 10% of the weight is pulp) Banana contains 75% water. I managed to get 65% of juice from very ripe...

Re: fred's journal
Just a quick uptade : I gave up my attempt to intermittent fasting because it was too hard for my body to eat a lot of calories during a limited period of time. I also eat much less animal protein than before. Eating animal protein every day, even in small amout as on the waidiet, gives me inflamati...

Re: which juice-extractor to get? (not OJ)
Indeed, It works very well to remove the remaining banana fibres. Digestion is much better now.
Very good advice RRM, thank you!
I guess we can use it to juice berries, without the slow juicer. I'll give it a try when berries will be available.
