Re: which juice-extractor to get? (not OJ)
If you (like me) want to minimize fiber intake, this is also a great tool, particularly for banana juice (as its thick, and sieving with a regular strainer takes a lot of shaking) passeerzeef.jpg That's interesting. Can you really remove some more fibers from banana juice with this tool and obtain ...

Re: fred's journal
I think I will try another schedule : eating 1.5L of fruit juice in 2 hours leaves me K.O. (exhausted, eye shots, etc.).
I may try to eat from 12:00 to 18:00, this makes an 18 hours fast.
If it doesn't do it, I'll resume my normal 12 hours eating a day schedule.

Re: Causes of low / high cholesterol
The study is in Spanish and I can't find how many eggs they eat and for how long. What does "large amounts of egg" mean? Anyway, we don't stay adolescent all of our life. Eating cooked eggs is unhealthy and detrimental to health, and only healthy adolescents can handle the harmful substances in them...

Re: Wai Warrior - for autophagy - AN EXPERIMENT
Because prior and during autophagy, your body will also use muscle (considered a spare depot for protein) for energy. Its multiple processes going on, including autophagy. The bulking up at night needs to compensate for the catabolism during the day. If you are okay with being skinny, you don't nee...

Yes, it's a transition phase.
So to invoke autophagy, one must be liver glycogen depleted, right? muscle glycogen has no effect on autophagy?

Re: fred's journal
Thank you for the explanation RRM. I am currently doing oil pulling with coconut oil, and brushing my teeth with miswak. My oral hygiene is much better now, sensitivity has disappeared. On my way to a Wai Warrior, I am trying to eat 2 times for 2 hours during the day, one around midday and one in th...

Re: Wai Warrior - for autophagy - AN EXPERIMENT
300g salmon + 3L OJ = more than 80g protein.
Given that autophagy spares cells, you need less protein on Wai Warrior than on regular Wai.
So why so much protein ?

Re: fred's journal
Try Wai Warrior. Contact with foods / drinks is limited to just a few hours / day. Yes it is very tempting! I am just afraid of loosing weight by not being able to ingest enough calorie in such a limited window, and also afraid of hypoglycaemia. But it is surely worth to try it. Lots of time for re...

Cooking time must also be as short as possible.
Best is to eat raw!

Re: fred's journal
Even if oral health does not reflect health, I want to stop my tooth decaying at high speed. I am not interested by ratiocination here. Only by practical solution. Sorry.

Re: fred's journal
Isn't tooth health the reflect to health according to Weston Price and Al? They failed to supply us with a logical reason as to how the 2 are connected. Can you? Well, if the primary cause of tooth decay is diet and not bacteria as conventional dentistry believe, then it's quite obvious that oral h...

Re: fred's journal
My teeth are decaying at high speed. I have new tooth decays every month or so. It is probably caused by eating fruit juice/honey very frequently. Unfortunately I don't see other option than to continue on with this diet and condemn my tooth. I am on a liquid diet so I don't need to chew much anyway...

Re: Multiple Sclerosis
I know someone who "cures" himself from multiple sclerosis with a raw paleo instinctive diet (instincto). He tried several times to go back to his cooked traditional diet and each time saw symptoms coming back. So he is not really cured, only symptoms free for almost 30 years now. He wrote a book (i...

Re: Oil & Lipid peroxidation
Actually what I wanted to say is that regarding lipid peroxidation, it is better to eat a whole food rather than the oil extracted from this same food. For instance, it is better to eat avocado than avocado oil, or olive than olive oil. I was not thinking about animal food product, but we can also s...
