Re: fred's journal

Nonono!! 1) Just put in the meat without it being cut. Just in big lumps. Make sure to remove the whipers. Then it will get really creamy on the inside. Take this out with a spoon and put it apart. 2) The slow juicer has seperated the pulp, even without the whipers, so put this pulp in hot water and ...

Re: Baking soda after OJ

I have very good experience with mixing OJ with baking soda and some oil. Be aware that this can really cause a lot of foam, so be sure to mix a small amount first and shake properly till all has reacted. No more than 1 big teaspoon a day. Certainly not if you are acne sensitive. It needs to be high...

Re: fred's journal

Do you have a slow juicer? Otherwise it will take a very, very long time to make it. I can make coconut milk from like 5 coconuts in 1.5 hours with my slow juicer. I use a very flexible knife to pop the coconut meat out, this takes some training but I can do it within 5 minutes per coconut now. Then...

Re: fred's journal

What I suspect is happening is a swelling going on at your lens due to the sugars you are eating. An inflammatory response triggered most likely by insulin. Have you tried eating tomatos? How do you respond to it? I have a feeling they can help due to the high lycopene content. Other good things tha...

The diagnose is a body temperature avg well below 37 degrees. Nothing more, nothing less.

Re: Coffee

Yes, exactly. Caffeine in the context of enough sugar and enough B vitamins is a very good medicine for improving metabolism. It is relatively safe. But as RRM says, it shouldn't be used if not needed and certainly not on a regular basis. Also, caffeine is a risk for another addiction and this is a ...

Re: Coffee

Reference for what part exactly? That it increases metabolism? Or the autophagy claim?

That it's an adaptogen instead of a stimulant will rather be a discussion.

Re: Coffee

Yes, that's right. Caffeine actually stimulates autophagy by the way. Caffeine is not a stimulant like methylphenidate, cocaine or amphetamines. Instead it is an adaptogen. It is very good for increasing metabolism (and therefore CO2) and my experiments with caffeine support this. I was made very sc...

Re: No food, just Soylent

caffeine boosts metabolism and can be a useful 'cheat' when one wants to increase his CP. It is a very safe and thoroughly studied substances with little downsides (I don't know any).

Re: Articles on oxidized (bad) cholesterol

Feeding a diet rich in oxidized-lipid resulted in a 100% increase in fatty streak lesions in the aorta. Additionally, rabbits that were fed the oxidized-lipid++ diet had a >100% increase in total cholesterol in the pulmonary artery that was primarily due to an increase in cholesteryl ester. Staprãns...

Re: Sun light vs. damage & Vit.D

Alot of experiments quoted are japanese experiments from the 60ies. The article says that there are alot of problems with the methods. See this one for example: When administered as a single intravenous dose, vitamin D3 sulfate exhibited no biological activity in doses as high as 52,000 pmol. Vitami...

Re: Saturated fat

Has it ever occured to you people that if you eat alot more saturated fat compared to unsaturated there will be a release of unsaturated fats from the tissues. This gives a huge stress impact on the body that most people seem to forget. And besides, what is bad about high cholesterol? I can't unders...
