Re: Where is Wai?
I've had some sort of same obstacle too, with my parents in law not agreeing. But the logic of the diet is just so good, and that's what this is about. It is not about having a degree or what not, it is about the easiest digestible foods, no antinutrients and still fulfilling nutritional needs. And ...

Re: Diet diary
Okay, I've tried this for over a week now: raw carrots with their fiber content. As I stated above I had some reappearance of soiling issues on my protocol of alot of sugar. I still eat large amounts of sugar. But I am eating raw carrot fiber since a while. At first it made some digusting bowel move...

Re: Dietary cholesterol essential?
Very convincing, I think cholesterol really deserves a waiwiki page for all the misconceptions about it. Also please look at the effects sugar has on cholesterol production.

Re: Articles on oxidized (bad) cholesterol
More nutrients is not always better. So since cholesterol is also a nutrient, the same applies here. I think it is very unnatural to eat large quantities of egg yolks. When I first started the wai diet I could easily eat up to 10 yolks a day. After a while that really nauseated me, and then I coudln...

Re: Strong Acne and Indigestion progress
You don't digest fiber, that's why it is fiber. Some gut bacteria can, yes. But you might feed good bacteria with it, but also bad. So that it is better to only use the energy you really need so the gut bacteria won't be needed at all.

CO2 producing foods
Carbs result in the highest CO2 production. Carbohydrate metabolism results in a marked increase in CO2 production. Askanazi J, et al. , Robin AB, et al. “It is well established that the combustion of one calorie of carbohydrate, fat and protein produces 0.2, 0.15 and 0.191 of CO2 respectively.” al...

My diet
That is some really good news! My CP is horrible right now, since my sleep had normalized and I did not have alot of gut problems I kinda quit the running routine in the morning. Now I'm at 30CP and in the morning it goes down to 20CP. However, my sleep seems to be pretty stable: 9 to 10 hours of na...

My diet
I started to experiment with high amounts carbs due to the absence of severe soiling. They really do give me tons more energy than the high fat diet, that was making me pretty down after a while. The high sugar diet is now taking it's toll, because the soiling effect did reappear on quite a lot of d...

Re: Strong Acne and Indigestion progress
Weight loss might have to do with alot of things. A thyroid that isn't working properly, not digesting food really good, other things draining energy. You can better focus on your energy levels than on the weight gain. The smaller the meals and the more meals the better the energy is distributed and...

Re: Strong Acne and Indigestion progress
To make myself clear: I am not suggesting to go for such an exclusive diet. But if you get the dose right, it certainly is possible and might not be unhealthy at all. For me that is definitely a no go. But it might be very effective for the initial 2 weeks as those are very easy digestible foods. Ma...

Re: Strong Acne and Indigestion progress
Yolks, sugar, OO, and OJ if consumed in the right amounts gives everything you need. Although I don't prefer that kind of diet. (something like 3-4L OJ + 50 mL OO + 10-15 yolks + additional sugar). However, my experiences are that I can best control my blood sugar by first eating something fatty and...

Re: From Paleo to Wai, need guidance
Please try coconut oil or red palm oil. Olive oil mixes very well with the OJ. The hard fats are alot harder to mix (there are techniques though, but they might not be very practical). Mireia have you tested hormone levels recently? In particular your estrogen and thyroid hormones? Also can you meas...

Re: Had osmotic diarrhea (too much sugar)
No, it's the total resulting from the addition of sugars in fruits + general sugar (up to 300g on some days). Regarding gut overgrowth: It's going pretty good, I do alot of long fasts which are really great for gut overgrowth. I also, like I said before, do intermittent fasting every other day +16 h...

Re: Had osmotic diarrhea (too much sugar)
A little nuance: I apply an intermittent fasting protocol every other day where I eat a lot less sugars. But I mean, I do not get short term problems if I stay under that amount of carbs. If I overdo it, and go up to 600g it will result in diarrhea. I am just experimenting how much sugar works best ...

Re: Omega 3:6 ratio
Yes, just use small amounts of olive oil <30-50mL, lots of fatty fish (wild salmon, herring and mackerel) and lots of fruits. That way you will get to the 1:1 ratio easily.
