Banana Cake

Post by Maia »

A super easy recipe, and it is very "cake-like"!

Ingredients:

Banana
Dates
Coconut oil

1. Make thin layers of the banana.
2. Peel and pit the dates and mix in the coconut oil with a fork.
3. Put first a layer of the banana slices and then a layer of date mix and so on. Finish with a layer of bananas.
4. Put something on top, if you want. Like strawberries, or cherries, or raisins or whatever you feel like! :)

How do you keep it from going brown? or do the berries cover it?

I think the idea is to eat immediately, no chances to get brown ;)

Cool "cake" :)

Magic banana recipe-tip 1: slice banana with a dull plastic knife and it wont brownify so eaily. (This nobel-class discovery was found in kindergarten, small kids use dull plastic knifes for explainable reasons).

Magic banana recipe tip 2: Padding the bananas with a vitamin C rich juice (lemon) will also stop them from going brown as fast, because vit. C is an anti oxidant, and oxidation is what makes the banana brown.

Onion?
Did they rub the avocado with a sliced onion?
Olive oil seems the most palatable treatment, no?

Onion would also work, I think. For Waians olive oil would work better of course ;)
