I love scallops, but I can't eat much of it at once. Don't know why, but after like 3-4 of 'm I just had enough, while I can eat over 500 gr of salmon at once.....
Anybody else notice something similar, or is it just me?

Are they as safe to eat raw as sashimi fish?
Fish may mean a variety of species, with different levels of safety.
But yes, they are relatively safe food as they feed on plankton.
Yeah, I meant the fish which is used for sashimi, which is all (except fugu) save, right?
But thanks, that's what I wanted to hear.

The roe, the red/orange part.
Very often, (red/orange) 'roe' is added as a garnish. But that 'roe' is not raw.
If the roe really is the released external raw egg mass of the scallops, and its fresh enough, yes its safe.
Roe very rapidly goes bad though, so pay close attention to the taste.

Yes, by roe I mean the external eggs.
Yeah that's what I thought, fish eggs rapidly go bad.
Thanks again!
