They only say that it is fresh, I don't really know if it is bio (probably not). Better to avoid it?
I would definitely avoid it. If it is organic, it should be on the label. Also you will see it on the price, because it is quite expensive. I would always go for wild or organic.
Damn, today I just ate 250g from that Salmon and I have been eating on the past days too :(... Well, I will stop buying that salmon then. Today I went out to search for Wild/Organic salmon but I coudn't find it anywhere. The only place that a found a different type was on a butcher's store lol. The tag said it was caught on the Pacific Ocean and captured with a hook and networks. Still nothing about Wild/Organic. However, yeah, I think it was more expensive. Though it is cut this way, meh...

Tomorrow I am going to compare the prices to confirm it and probably continuing searching till I find one that is labeled, cut the other way and preferably selled on a package.

Thank you! :)

For Farmed Salmon http://alexandramorton.typepad.com/guid ... fe_salmon/
For Wild Salmon http://fairquestions.typepad.com/rethin ... almon.html

Throws hands up in the air, I don't know which fish to eat.
Can someone point me to a serious scientific article:
a) not paid by a biased company/country/group
b) written with good data, and experimental design
c) fair in the survey of different types of salmon
d) large enough sample size
e) good statistical analysis
f) good biological analysis
g) recent and not like 10 years ago, 2015, 2016?
h) no fear mongering and marketing hype language.
i) clear writing

This is weird... I have finally found some Frozen Wild Salmon sold on a package at the supermarket. It comes from the Pacific Ocean, this one more specifically from Alaska. But the odd thing is that this brand also sells Farmed Atlantic Salmon and both were the same price (23.99 €/kg). I mean, this Atlantic Salmon come from the Faroe Islands to the North of England and off The Coast of Norway. About their feeding says "During its growth, the salmon is carefully fed with a special diet promoting its natural development, health and well being."
I am not quite sure about this special diet, so it's probably the same from the frozen package I bought the other day. xD
At least, about the Wild Salmon it says "Because it's wild, they have a varied diet according to their habitat and time of year. There may be some variation of their texture, flavor and pink color.
So, I think hail to the Wild Salmon!

A week ago I watched this really good documentary, showing just how toxic farmed salmon is.

I'm really wary of eating any sort of salmon any more. I think mackerel should be fine, as long as it's not from the Baltic sea.

The main Ducth supermarket branch Albert Heijn always sells frozen wild salmon from Alaska.
So, they must be readily available.
