contamination of Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon

Post by Jules »

Any thoughts on Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon and possible radiation contamination as a result of Japan's nuclear accident. Living in Canada I eat it on a regular basis.

The research I did on the internet suggested that Canada was inspecting the fish but I couldn't find any current results.

According to the state of Alaska, testing Alaska salmon and other fish for radiation after Japan's earthquake, tsunami and resulting nuclear disaster is unnecessary.

I don't really trust governments these days, they are controlled by corporations.

I also came across Genetically Modified farmed salmon .... something consumers of Atlantic farmed salmon should be aware of.

We are really messing up the planet.

Ha ha!
Yes, Iris is still alive, that is the good part of this story! :)
Did somebody check whether there is any scientific data about the occurence of massive fish die offs in the past vs present?

Haha, well I'm glad you've gotten over your shock then  And yes I'm still alive ;D yet worried about what's happening to the world...
I haven't seen such data RRM but it's not just fish from what I read/see and it seems scientists can't explain most of it....
