According to the USDA nutrient database, it contains 205 mg calcium / 100 g.
http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/6064

Calcium in Wai foods, in mg per 100 g.:
226 hazelnuts
193 dried figs
132 Brazil nuts
87 walnuts
63 dried dates
54 figs
51 Macadamia nuts
42 orange
38 kiwi
33 mandarin

And i would prefer hazelnuts (high level of anti-nutrient phytic acid) over molasses (acrylamide and/or HCAs).
Also better for your teeth.
Maybe soaking can help regarding the phytic acid?

And melanoidins are Maillard reaction products, so that its likely to contain lots of acrylamide and probably HCAs as well.

Exactly what I suspected, that's why I'm not getting any more molasses :). I don't feel bad after eating molasses. After eating commercial sulphured apricots I feel very very bad, strange..

That's not the same as blackstrap molasses. Blackstrap molasses is the king of calcium.

http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tnam ... le&dbid=85 --> ESHA food database

So, in 100g blackstrap molasses you get: (100/13.67 g)*117.56 = 859.985369 mg calcium!!!! You simply can't beat that.

You dont need that much calcium.
Simply eating oranges, kiwi, mandarins (or nuts) will do.
You dont need to ingest Maillard reaction products to get enough calcium.

On http://www.waiwiki.org/index.php/Acrylamide is lists Sulfurized apricot as containing acrylamide. Maybe that's why?
