For those in the U.S., I highly recommend Napa Valley Naturals olive oil. It's expensive ($10-$15), but I did a little math the other day and realized I'm spending less money on this diet than a regular diet.
It's delicious, without the burn or tart aftertaste.

I also feed my dogs olive oil, which I buy in bulk, whatever is cheap. The other day I tasted a little and I had to spit it out! It was disgusting. Maybe I could taste the pesticides? There is also a lot of fraud in the olive oil business, and even extra-virgin is adulterated. Probably what I tasted wasn't olive oil at all, but really cheap sunflower oil, grr..

p.s. I recycle the bottles by turning them into candle-holders. Really pretty!
