Walnuts and omega3 content

Post by Ducky »

Walnuts 1 oz. (25g) = 2.6g

Thats a lot of Omega3.

We need 1-2 gram of Omega3 per day.

Does it mean that theoretically we dont need to consume animal products?

For a source of omega 3? Of at all?

There are other nutrients we get from animals.

No. Not just because we also need B12 and cholesterol, but also because there are different omega 3 fats, and our capacity to make the other ones from LNA is limited, and only animal food supplies us with all of the omega 3's
