okay to shake orange juice to mix oil?

Post by damian »

I read that centrifugal juicers are not good because they mix air with the juice, thereby speeding oxidation, so I'm wondering: Is it okay to shake the juice to mix it with the olive oil? Is it necessary to shake the juice to mix it with the oil? Thanks.

PS Just to be clear: Is it necessary to shake the juice before each time I take a sip? It's hard to tell, but it looks like much if not all of the oil separates to the top pretty quickly.

Its ok to shake it.
I always do it so that the oil is mixed with the oj as much as possible, because i hate to take a sip of oil when expecting juice.

I've noticed that due to the angle of the glass and the oil floating on the juice, when you drink you get some juice and some oil.

When I tilt my glass there is oil on top and juice on the bottom. It would be hard for me to just drink off the oil even if I tried.
