Avacados in the morning?

Post by CSIV »

It seems like many people here prefer to eat avacodo and cucumber tomato salads in the afternoon or as a kind of "lunch" My current schedule with university and everything makes that not a very good option, so I'm wondering if there's anything wrong with eating avacados first thing when I wake up.. maybe with a glass of water. I don't think there would be a problem with this but better to double check.

There shouldn't be any problem, though it might not be an 'ideal' breakfast since it's so fatty. Just try it out and see if it works for you or not. Personally I eat my avocado/tomato salad somewhere between 4:30pm and 6:00pm.

I've always had avocados for breakfast; never even thought twice about it. What do you guys have for breakfast? What's wrong with fat in the morning?

There's nothing 'wrong' with it, only it's easier to fill glycogen depots and replenish blood sugar using sugars than fat. I eat a banana with an apple when I get up.
