Ripening fruit after peeling

Post by Mr. PC »

I was wondering, if a fruit has been peeled, or just half or a little bit peeled, and than I find out it's not ripe. For example if I cut a little bit of skin off an avocado, and than taste a little to see if it's ripe to discover it isn't, can I just plastic wrap the cut and put it in a paper bag to finish ripening?

I'd suggest: no plastic.. cuz plastic wrap will make moist->fruit goes bad..
if you just peeled a small piece off.. just lay it in room temerature or put it together with a few apples.. it is said to speed ripening up.
pineapple can keep ripening after being cut.. just put it on a plate in room temperature.. but only works one or two days before you have to cut it again.
