olives

Post by Cairidh »

I am crazy about these olives:

http://www.detoxyourworld.com/acatalog/ ... lives.html

They're expensive but I have to recommend them because they're gorgeous!

My mum who's a SAD eater and addicted to jarred olives hates these - she thinks they're disgusting. She spit the one she tried right out, and hasn't touched them since. (If I buy raw marinated olives I have to hide them from her or she eats them all and its a waste when she can eat normal cheaper cooked ones).
But I think they're delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I tried them I can't stop thinking about them. I bought them for a raw cake recipe but couldnt bring myself to "waste" them in a recipe, and had to savour their taste by eating them by themselves. mmm.

If you try them and don't like them send them to me!

I don't usually like bitter Image

but with these olives I do :) mmm
the more bitter they are the more flavour

the website says if you soak them in water it reduces the bitterness by 50%
