extra fat needed with Durian?

Post by van »

HI, leaving for Bali tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience with eating Durian and whether exra fat is needed after eating since Durian already has a relatively high fat content to begin with. thanks

Durian contains 1.8% to 5.4% fat, so that indeed is already enough.

Depending on how much durian I eat, I usually just take a sip or two of oil. 2 segments of a medium sized durian is my max, and then a little oil, and I'm good for about 3 hours. Probably better if I just had 1 segment and a banana+oil, that way I get hungy after 1.5-2hrs and I don't have 'durian burps.'
