buying wholesale produce in san antonio, texas? (US)

Post by panacea »

anyone here from San Antonio? I've never bought bulk produce, and have no idea how it goes.

Also, how many oranges do you guys (the hardcore juicers) buy at a time? 120 a week or so? or do you buy them daily? does it matter? how many oranges (valencia size) does it take to make 3 liters of OJ? is that about the right amount daily intake for a 6'8" sedentary male 195lbs?

sorry for all the U.S. lingo, our schools don't teach us shit. except to hire all the smart chinese to do our homework lol.

10 boxes x 80 oranges every 2 to 3 weeks, so thats about 230 to 400 a week.

It doesnt matter, as long as they taste good.

roughly, yes, but you need to fine tune that yourself,
as even a daily minimal lack will eventually still result in massive losses...

I think I use around 90 (depending on the size of course) oranges per week, a little more than 1 crate.
