Its about how powerful you feel.
If you feel a bit empty or weak, you need energy.
If you feel like starting to run right away, you may have some spare energy left.

I see. When I woke up today I definitely felt that I needed some energy so I took a gulp of juice, but only one. Other mornings I have taken a few big gulps when I woke up assuming that no juice for eight or nine hours demanded such a quantity. One gulp seemed to be enough to start today, though, so I think there may have been a bit of energy overshoot going on to start my mornings which has possibly led to my difficulty with feeling my levels at this point in the day. I think I am particularly sensitive to overshoots in terms of how they make me feel, so I better watch it I guess, like you said.
