Normal fasting blood sugar level?

From the Wai point of view, what is the normal fasting blood sugar level? Between 0.70 g/l - 1.05 g/l?
Is being under 0.70 (around 0.60~) bad?

It really depends on what is considered 'fasting'.
On a normal diet a range of 0.7 to 1.26 g/l before a meal is normal.
After 12 hours of fasting, a range of 0.72 to 1.00 g/l is considered normal.
Normally, people eat large meals, resulting in high (1.80 g/l) blood sugar levels even after 90 minutes,
but then again continual fasting levels of 1.01 to 1.25 g/dl are considered 'possible prediabetes'.

On this diet the meals are much smaller, resulting in low 'highs',
whereas we eat lots of small meals, always preventing low 'lows'.
On this diet, there are no fasting blood sugar levels, as we never let it get that far.
Our blood sugar level 'before a meal' will be higher than normal though.
Im guessing something like 1.00 to 1.20 g/l.
Is being under 0.70 (around 0.60~) bad?
Yes, its too low; it results in the conversion of muscle tissue into energy.

Cool. ;D I totally get why a sip is enough. I learned last week that our total blood volume only contains about 5g of sugar, so obviously, if glycogen levels are full, a sip or two of OJ with sugar and OO is definitely enough to replenish the 4g missing from my blood at meal time.

Er, it's probably not 4g missing at the time I feel I need a sip. More like 1g or so.

indeed, but dont forget about the liver glycogen, serving as spare glucose.

So sometimes my sips are for blood sugar, sometimes for liver glycogen, sometimes for muscle glycogen, and sometimes for a combination of them, but each separate need doesn't necessarily cause a dip in blood sugar. So I may be lacking muscle glycogen, but experience weakness and not hunger/need for a sip as I did last night. If my liver store is low, will I experience this hunger sensation? I'm guessing "no" and that I experience hunger in response to a blood sugar dip only. Does feeding to replenish glycogen (e.g. a large meal of 400Kcal) tax the insulin system?

Yes. Conversion into glycogen and bodyfat both need extra insulin. Normally speaking energy will go to muscles and organs first, then replenish blood sugar, after that fill glycogen depots and lastly body fat. What kind of weakness did you experience?
