Mud Mask

Post by mystrilw »

Hi all. I am curious if Mud Mask is good for acne-prone skin, of course under Wai Diet.

Since mud draws out water (by drying) , it is possible to reduce effect of "water pinching"? and reduce probability of acne.

Many thanks.

Hi mystrilw.
The water retention (regarding acne) is in the true skin, the layer below the outer skin.
The mud mask draws water from the outer skin.
Dehydration of the outer skin is counteracted by increasing oil / sebum production,
which may aggravate your acne.
So, no, a mud mask is not a good idea at all.
Protect your skin against dehydration, by applying fat to the skin.

I agree with you since Mud mask touches outer skin directly, therefore "sucking" out the moisture the already dry outer skin has.

Time to throw the mud mask to the bin. Thanks for the heads up.
