Methylglyoxal MGO

Methylglyoxal MGO
Rereading Uribarri et al., article on the AGEs thread,
Uribarri et al., measured the increases in MGO and CML after heat treatment of food items.
I remember that MGO is in Manuka Honey.
The funny thing is that Manuka Honey is advertised for it's MGO content, but Uribarri's chart shows that other food items have more MGO than Manuka Honey.
That makes it quite silly for people to buy Manuka Honey for the sake of obtaining MGO content.

What is of an interesting question to ask is that,
if MGO increases with heat treatment,
MGO is an indicator of heat treatment,
did Manuka Honey get heat treated?
or does it grow naturally in a tropical environment in a season with hot weather that allows for higher MGO content?
Alongside MGO, there might be CML, there might be other AGEs.
Is the other AGEs inside honey, assuming the honey became heat treated, the cause of the rumored anti-bacterial activity.
Or is the honey, raw, composed of naturally another ingredient regardless of MGO content as the cause of the rumored anti-bacterial activity.

If MGO is an AGE indicator,
and MGO ingested by Manuka honey consumers, and MGO is ingested by heated food consumers,
then is it reasonable to conclude that MGO is not one of the worst AGEs?
Then if, extending this thought to CML, is CML also not one of the worst AGEs?

What would define a very very bad AGE?
If there are 1000s of products from AGEs,
of which of the 1000s is the worst one/the very very bad one?

While it is assumed once that MGO was the cause of anti-bacterial activity of Manuka honey.
Hence, it was assumed as something that does not promote growth, and therefore GOOD,
it is then on the flip side of this logic that something that promotes growth, and therefore BAD.
(nah can't be probiotics promote bacterial growth and is thought good.)
but running with this pseudo plasible half logic,

it is of a 1,2,3,4,5,6 sixthwaterfurryfurryaddonnosign that is not neuf of the oeuf that is the offspring of the thermal spring.
It is likely that in the sea of thousands of ages (not eons).
A tundra where will we be without trees? Thannnks!

MGO is an intermediate. Not an end product, and not an AGE indicator.
It still needs to bind to an amine to form an AGE
It is a very potent intermediate, but no more than an intermediate.
If it does not 'find' an amine to react with, it will never become an AGE.
So, it is potentially hazardous, but no more than that.
It is also potentially harmless.
What would define a very very bad AGE?
A very reactive (aggressive) end product.
The worst one is the most aggressive one, such as specific HCAs.
