Apple and pear, yes, and they are also relatively safe regarding acne.CSIV wrote:Would store-bought apple, pear, or white grape juice be ok acid-wise?
Indeed.I'm sure it would be better if not from concentrate as well...
Many types of white fish, sold frozen, are safe and not expensive.I'll have to look into the meat thing. I don't imagine it would be much cheaper, if any, for safe meat.
And egg yolks are not expensive either.
Re: As my journey unfolds
Thanks for the replies I will probably be trying some store bought apple and/or pear juice very soon. I am eating egg yolk primarily for protein right now, but I will look into the white fish too! I'll keep posted
Re: As my journey unfolds
I don't think my body really likes this store bought apple juice. It's fine for acne, but things just dont feel quite right as I drink it. Does that make any sense?
I'll see how I feel after replacing it with fresh squeezed OJ for a week or two when I can afford it.
Also I'm planning to move before too long too (come september), and produce should be much less expensive after the move

It may be high in antinutrients, for example, or something else that you cannot put your finger on.
Trust your body.
