November 3, 2014 food experiments adds not Wai items, munch foods
10:00 1 banana, 1 golden kiwi sans seeds
11:00 1 banana, 40 grapes
12:00 1 banana, 40 g white chocolate
13:00 1 banana, 2 tsp oo
18:30 500ml oj = 3 oranges
22:00 5 tsp oo
+ 2 more pimples*
---
* Today felt mediocre, my skin itched near my nose and mouth especially near the pimples that developed from yesterday's junk.
I have not had that feeling for a long long time, pretty much no irritating normal sized pimples for the past few months, only small pixel sized pimples.
So I think I broke rules very very much yesterday.

** Banana is not exactly my friend in terms of constipation. It is a friend for budget.
** Grapes are iffy, I have this aftertaste in mouth, I peeled everything.
** Oranges and tomatoes, how I miss thee, only if you were a bit cheaper.

*** Seriously considering boiled potatoes.
I think we know which one means cheaper calories: Price of 2 kg sugar = 10 lb potatoes = 500g potato starch = 8-10 slices of bread = 10-12 eggs.

November 5, 2014 Rule Breaking Version adds not Wai items (-2.8.18)
10:00 2 bananas, 400ml oj = 3 oranges, 3 yolks
12:30 1 banana, 400ml oj = 3 oranges, 1 yolk
16:00 0.5 slice of salted ham (0.2 x 4 x 4 cm)
21:00* 2 bananas, 1 tomato, 2 tbsp oo, 150g salmon, 3 pieces of cooked beef brisket (2.5cm^3), 2 bites of (4 x 1 x 3 cm) medium-welldone steak
0:00-8:30 solid refreshing sleep, wakes up with energy, and a little bit hungry.
---
Weight Issues
- Nov 3 weighed in at 42 kg.* {scared me mentally a bit; it's not an electric scale so it could be off in calibration.}
- Nov 6 weighed in at 43 kg.* {reweighed (before eating), hmm 43 {It can't be the scale}. Previous stats Oct 44-45, Sept 45, Aug 45}
- *Nov 4,5 increasing food volume.
*Plan: adding back the tomato, increasing fish (no more 50 g, or skip days), oranges back to 800ml/day (no more skip days), new banana tolerance = 5, will try to get minimum yolks 3/day.
- {meanwhile, Crave Aytundra stares at potato products; We will see if Brave Aytundra will go purchase potatoes.}

Other Notes
- Pimples of Nov 3 are almost gone, all are scabbed and flaking-off. yay back to clear skin. :D

November 9, 2014 Rule Breaking Version adds not Wai items (-4.1.22) Version 4 = not eating Wai because of Social Occasions

Today, I re-met with a friend of a friend for lunch.
Same set of friends from April 13, 2014
One of these friends became a strict vegetarian on Aug 3.
I was much amazed at his adherence and resolve to not touch meats, not even scallops. (As for me, I have failed in every aspect of maintaining the Wai diet in a social setting. { When will the tomato and cucumber dining performance, be ready? - raw aytundra} )
Anyways I was left to experiment with some vegetarian items, | and regular items of meat eating friends.
-----
9:00 250ml water
12:30 a few bites of: soybean curds with bok choi, fermented beans and lightly toasted soy wraps, squash with rice congee, tea, egg tart | sui mai (pork with shrimp and roe), steamed rice wrapped beef, shrimp with toasted soy wrap.
5:45 a few bites of: stirfried chicken, beans, onions; noodles stir-fried with beef, and shrimp with tofu and broccoli.
23:00 1 banana, 3 kiwi, 8 grapes
11:30-8:50
---
Aytundra's (A) conversation with Others (O) a vegetarian (V) and (R) a regular friend:
V: What does she(A) eat?
O: She eats raw salmon, fruits, no dairy, no wheat, no meats {umm not exactly}... {Raw aytundra smirks; hehe Others are learning.}
R: salmon tastes better when raw. [R beams a smile at A]
O: She eats egg yolks and leaves the egg whites for us; there are so much in the fridge.
R: egg yolks, but that is a lot of cholesterol! [R frowns to herself, and gives a troubled puzzled look at A]
-- [Plate of food lands onto the table]
A: Umm, I don't eat squash.
V: Why?
A: b/c I already have oranges.
V: But squash has very good amounts of carotene and nutrients.
A: Oranges have more than enough carotenes and nutrients.
-- [Another Plate of food lands onto the table]
{Soy and beans?}
V: Barley is better than rice.
A: White rice is better than barley (less anti-nutrients and fiber).
V: But Barley has more nutrients, and rice more glycemic load.
V: What do you eat if you don't touch grains?
A: sugar {Waits for the vegetarian to choke at this thought. I have not even gotten to mention that veggies are bad imo.}
V: but you just can't avoid grains and dairy.
A: Why not? Gluten free diets are wheat and dairy free.
R: Sugar is bad.
O: Reducing sugar helped me lose weight, I drank 1 less cup of coffee. {and I have not gained weight by eating sugars yet.}
V: Yeah sugar is bad, I don't drink coffee with sugar.
...
{Sighs, here goes the "sugar is bad" debate again, deja vu of the last few restaurant outtings.}

I think there are some helping factors here:
1. Vegetarianism is recognized worldwide as a valid diet (and the Wai diet is not).
2. Especially when a moral issue is the reason for the diet, the 'religious' effect comes into play: Having the moral high ground, being 'right', etc. Most vegans also display the priestly preaching effect that is possible in this situation. Pointing towards the bio-industry is a very easy argument to convince most people of the righteousness of the diet.
3. On a vegetarian diet one can still consume addictive substances.

November 11, 2014 Rule Breaking Version adds not Wai items (-3.4.24), munch foods
10:00 1 apple, 1 kiwi
17:00 4tbsp sugar + 250ml water
**
22:00 300ml = 3 oranges
22:30 4tbsp sugar + 250ml water, 3 yolks + 1tbsp oo*
23:15 4 potatoes peeled, diced, steamed 20 min + sauna-ed 10 min + refridgerated 20 min + 2tbsp avoo*
00:00-8:35 mild film in mouth, bit thirsty, + 1 nightmare*
---
I had a scary nightmare* = ~~~~~ front bottom canine teeth chipped off.~~~~~ I am so glad that was not the case when I woke up.
Hmm, it must be the oils too close to sleep time. Blames it on avoo for now, until I sort things out, b/c so far I have used avocado oil 4 times before sleep, 3 of the 4 times I had a nightmare...

-----
On a happier note:
**Yesterday I went shopping with a friend[F].
F: Do you eat fish?
A: Yes
F; I eat that [Points to salmon]
A: I like salmon.
F: Back where we lived we had this kind of fish: {Points to Tilapia]
{Grins}
A: I used to eat Tilapia too. Did you know that Tilapia is Oreochronmis, and eats plankton: like keratella, peridinium, anabaena, melosira...
[F Surprised, Looks at me as if I had lost my mind.]
F: How do you know all that?
A: Oh I read... {Grins... :mrgreen: ;D :mrgreen: }

+ 22:45 120g salmon (for yesterday)

November 12, 2014 Rule Breaking Version adds not Wai items (-2.10.25)(-3.5.25)
15:30 3 apples, 100ml = 2 oranges
20:30 1 cooked piece of braised pork belly (2 x 3 x 1 cm), 3 potatoes peeled, diced, steamed ~20 min*,
22:00 120g salmon
00:00-7:55, + 1 nice dream**
---
*At 15 min the water dried (not enough water in pan), the edges of potatoes at the bottom layer touching the glass turned light brown; none of the potatoes I ate yesterday cooked for a longer time had brown edges, so I think water moisture is important for moderating temperatures in cooking.

**nice dream = ~~~~~ dreamed of a sunny mountain valley with a collage of oak leaves, conifers, and giant mimosa leaves as tall as oaks ~~~~~ only in imagination can all those different plants exist in one valley. And it was really nice I woke up to birds chirping in that valley.
