Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Fri June 19, 2015 (not Wai items)
7:10 wake
7:20 1 banana
10:00 3 pieces of roasted seaweed
11:59* 1 sausage biscuit [Cf-J]**
my mood was quite happy and solid for the next 3 hours.
16:00 2 bananas, 1 dried fig, ~500 ml (3 large oranges).
22:00 then my mood got stormy.
600 ml water
24:00 - 9:00 (i didn't sleep well either, I woke up all muscle achy and tired. 1 pimple.)
---
**Notation:
Because being a student means many chances of food interactions in a social setting that will interfere with dieting.
To keep me organized, I am adding notations to help me keep all my classmate-friends [Cf-?] influences on my dieting organized.
I did say I will be considering the social aspects of dieting in my first post. I do intend to write about them.
Unless you live on an island, dieting is unfortunately can be influenced by the people around you, or you will influence them; It's a revolving door.
Motivations:
1) Talking to a classmate friend, it was fun to talk about how we like breakfast items, and trying to buy them before the menu switches.
2) I felt kind of normal being able to do that instead of going off tangent, and saying I can't have food items of these and those.
Challenges:
*1) Went and ate from a store.
2) We discussed muffins and hashbrowns and coffee and sausage. Why we like them. They taste great. We have potatoes and meat for dinner why not breakfast items too for the whole day. Why stores should keep the menu for the whole day, because stores can profit because more people can buy them, they are cheaper items. {Meanwhile, Raw aytundra coughs in the brain.}
Curiosity:
2) I know I said June is rule breaking month where I get to eat not Wai items, and should eat 100% not Wai items. {Rebellious aytundra is doing an excellent job as usual breaking the rules I've set out.} It is kind of fun to do that. However I wonder: Does conversations in a social setting of 100% Wai item mode have to be bland if it goes near food topic? {July, coughs raw aytundra. Wait to JULY!}
Results:
2) I was really happy that I made it to the fast food restaurant right before they switched menus for lunch, I always like the taste of breakfast fastfood items. They ran out of eggs for the egg sausage biscuit so both of use were likewe are after the sausage not the eggs. { and raw aytundra was like: "haha, this is better I don't eat cooked eggs, it was cheaper without the eggs."}
3) I don't think my mood runs well on A. cooked foods days. Confounding variables: Foul mood,
B. could be due to figs. This is like the 3rd time ever that I ate dried figs in this diary.
C. or I am just low on calories and weight.

Fri June 26, 2015 (not Wai items)* No Toast!
6:00
7:00 250 ml water
9:00* 1 celery stalk, ~160 raisins, 2 tbsp hummus; 1 corn chip, 1 tbsp lettuce, 1 tsp tomato sauce.
10:00 - 14:00 rainy tired mood
14:00 ~ 100 raisins

20:00 150 g salmon, 1 banana + 1 cup of chickpeas*

* There was a class food project.
I had to bring celery and raisins for my group.
What I ate was by choice, and kind of not by choice.
Timid aytundra in the classroom.
Conversation of Raw aytundra (RA) & Cooked Foods - Social aytundra (CSA):
RA: "You know, June is not even done yet, and you are already breaking down (to my side)?
Why don't you enjoy it and chase a burger or something?
Forget about everything orthorexia and just play?"
CSA: I don't crave those items anymore.
I run past each booth and I am like pita?, bread? cheese?, veggies?
I tell people I am gluten free and lactose intolerant.
{I know June is not up yet, but I am getting ahead of myself to July, behaving like the allergy-to-everything person.}
They look at me with sympathy.
"I am sorry to hear you can't have that."
or nod in understanding.
{and my mind is like doing back-flips, I should be sympathetic to the state that you don't know what you are eating.}
[Cf-multiple] 'They are like oh try this nut free replacement to peanutbutter, it is gluten free.'
{Toasted soy as nut free replacement to peanutbutter? my brain asked.}
'Why don't you try it, put it on that cracker they have. It is delicious, I just tried it.'
{Ah, cracker?}
SA: But it is toasted soya. I can't have 'toasted'.
nods in understanding.
{I don't think your nods indicate you understand the logic, rather the nod is to dismiss the idea of rejection, and the nod to admit the idea that a person is allergic/intolerant to that food item?}
I am not trying to be difficult or anything.
My brain just goes into that mode of logic, and until I have another idea that rejects that toasted idea.
Toasted sounds so foreign and ugly on an ingredient list.

21:00 ~120 pieces of plain raisins, ~28 to 42 pieces of almond, 1 cup of pineapple, 50 g salmon raw***
24:00 - 8:20**

** I had a little bit of a harder time falling asleep with food sitting in the stomach, the fiber I could feel it from the raisin, almond, pineapples,
but my mood was unbotherable.
***fish after pineapple tastes strange, I think anything after pineapple makes the food pineapple spicy (pineappleaftertaste).
I am actually surprised that I can eat so many raisins, I am looking out for that sour aftertaste to indicate I reached my raisin/grape intake limit, so far it hasn't gotten there; I think the trick is in the pineapples.

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Goals: situations or objectives that you want to achieve through your actions
Rules: (self-)imposed limits to, and/or regulations of your actions
Rules can be goals, but in this case the rules govern the actions which are supposed to lead to your goals, so they can't be the goals themselves

Explain to me, why you believe, that a goal can't be, the rule that governs the goal itself? Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
The goals are automatically achieved, because you have already made the rules which are the goals
Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Oscar's question "Why are your goals rules??" has made me realize that,
there are two types of rules:
1. Rules to get me to the goal,
2. and rules to keep me in the goal.
1. i.e. In a soccer game, the goal keeper's goal is to keep the soccer ball net empty, the goal is achieved at the beginning because the net starts empty.
2. i.e. In a soccer game, the goal of field team members are to score the soccer ball into the opponent's net, goal has to be achieved, and rules-strategy guides behaviour. In most cases people think of displacement goals, like going from point A to point B, like running a marathon from start to finish. Like goals have to correlate with a physical displacement. {I have just realized the plain concept a month ago, that some goals start accomplished.}
Goals for AUGUST
Rule 1: Post in August.
Rule 2: Eat 2000 calories/day in August.
Rule 3: Both Cinderella (cooked foods) and Cruella (raw foods) aytundra are allowed in August, because it is about calories.
{rUle 4: Ignore cooked-foods-aytundra - raw aytundra}

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Oops examples, 1., 2., should be numbered, 2., 1. .
Sat August 1 2015 (not Wai items)
8:00
8:30 1 banana
12:30 1 cucumber, 1 tomato, 200 g salmon 70% steamed, pink inside
16:00 0.5 banana,
17:30 8 dried Tunisian dates (2 were peeled)
18:30 1 cucumber, 10 g boiled geoduck half raw, 100 g roasted duck meat
20:30 1 slice of chocolate pecan cashew almond nuts cake (felt pretty full at this point, finishing cake.)
21:15 6 dried dates, 3 blueberries
22:00 (I wanted more chocolate cake, it is funny how quickly I got hungry again for cake.)
24:00-9:00*
---
* I woke up at 4:08 am with saliva tasting acidic, I overloaded on sugar (must be the chocolate cake, cake does that to me sometimes, causing acid taste, I call it acid after taste, but really that is all the English words I have to describe it, not that there can be more languages, taste buds are limited to sugary, salty, bitter, acidic, and spicy. Hmm maybe umami on another word palette making it 6 flavors to choose from, but that isn't near that taste. So acid-after-taste stays as my current terminology.). The interesting thing is that I have never remember waking up in the middle of the night because of sugar, but then I didn't keep much of a diary for cooked foods either, also I haven't ate so much sugar in the past few weeks so late at night. Meanwhile I am trying to cram calories this month to see if I can get 1 kg more, I have been stuck at 40 - 41kg for months now, and though it could be my set point, I don't think it is, because I am hungry and fruits are like super expensive, well at least oranges are, when orange price can be equivalent to car-gas prices. So, When did the taste resolve? The taste resolved itself after I had more sleep, 4:10 -9:00 = more sleep, and taste subsided less acidic, did not do anything like drink water or brush teeth, just slept it off. Well it is not completely gone at 10 am, I can still taste a very very small trace of chocolate flavor, and an very very thin trace of acid taste from the back of my mouth closer to the gums. I did brush my teeth before I sleep because I didn't want crumbs of food on my teeth.
Sorry guys, wordy entries are back again. Have fun reading...
