Because I eat munch food
Don't beat yourself up for it!
At least you're enjoying with this diet and satisfying your cravings!
Think of all the freedom you have to be creative with it since you don't have acne!
It sounds like fun!

I can't wait to stick these 2 weeks out, then I can experiement and have some steak tartare :D
(I have wet dreams about it )
Mainly I intend to use the munch food recipies from the book,
to be safe. If I happen to break out I'll just stay clear of it.

I think it's important to not obsess over your skin/ weight and just know that you're doing something good for your health and overall wellbeing.

*rereads*
ok, what happened to me?
why am I so positive? :?

Ok............ I entered it but I have no idea what it means....
What is the ideal?

I'll try that.
How often do you have it?

This is what I got and I don't know what to make of it.

Weight:.................................1274.80g

Nutrients...............................Quantity..............RDA

Energy..................................1203.82kcal ....1550-2300kcal
Carbohydrate.............................159.82g ..............?g
Fat.......................................58.07g ..............?g
Protein...................................26.40g ..........55.00g
Water...................................1013.67ml .............?ml
Fiber.....................................30.66g ..............?g

The only "nutrients" that are missing (0) are starch a lactose
and omega-3 (EPA) (DPA) (DHA). Maybe because I had eggs instead of fish.

I've never been more confused

I consume like four times more energy than you, even on pretty inactive
days, so I still worry it is a little too little.

Also, you have to look at all the vitamins and minerals.
Remember to set the RDA to the correct gender and age.

Regarding omega 3 fats, I recently started taking a raw
cod liver oil, since I do not think I get enough from
yolks/fish/meat. I am probably going to write a thread
about it.

I have steak tartar every now and then. When I buy it I eat
it every day for a few days, then I do not have it for a while.
My craving for it seems to go up and down quite a bit.

yeah you're right.

I found an old thread Wai answered, and I figured out what all the numbers meant. I'm supposed to get at least 200 kcal more.
I've adjusted it so that I get enough vitamins and don't exceed them!

thanks for bringing it to my attention.

btw why are there two versions of the gender and age thing.
What's FDA and JSTSA... (or whatever it was)?

I've been actually obsessed for a while with the table, trying to make the perfect combination. But either I exceed vitamin D or I don't get enough protein.
And I kinda like protein and wanna have a lot of fish ^_^

Don't be obsessed about it! It doesn't matter if you're ingesting low or high levels of some nutrients. Your body will adjust it's absorbtion rates (I'm sure you already read that multiple times in other threads). And your body can produce vit. D itself, but if you ingest plenty, it will produce less. How high do you think my vit. D intake is? :D About 1700 IU! And I don't even look at the protein levels. I figure that if I eat to much protein, I'll simply won't feel like eating it, and I would crave some fruit, and so I'll cut back on my protein intake naturally.
You will never get your diet to resemble the RDA's perfectly (even if it does in theory, the numbers are only averages, so you wouldn't know how much of a nutrient actually is present in your diet), and it doesn't have to. You are unique, and no standard can prescribe you what your body exactly needs regarding nutrients. It's just a guidance. :)

really?
I was just reading Wai's book and it said that too much of Vitamin C, A,D,E
is lethal... it produces tumors and such.
I was trying not to exceed it.
But according to the RDA 50g of salmon is like 300IU of D. And you only need 100...
it's ridiculous.

But yeah, it didn't bother me that much.
As long as I get all the vitamins (roughly) I'm good.

The book indeed says that to much of these vitamins are cancerous (amongst others), but also:
But vitamins in food are not entirely absorbed, are they?
That's correct. And there is a very good reason for that: the body absorbs as much as it needs.
But how do I know whether I absorb the right amount of vitamins?
Nobody knows, but your body always knows - perfectly.
Vitamin supplements are extremely concentrated, which makes it impossible for your body to sufficiently decrease its vitamin absorption rate to prevent uptake of too much vitamins.
All you have to do is to offer your body sufficient fruits and fresh raw animal food so it can absorb exactly as much of the vitamins as it needs.
Listen to your body, and you will know what fruits or fresh raw animal food it needs.
So this is not saying at all that we should be extremely cautious and not exceed the RDA's. Only if you are taking supplements or any other unnatural, concentrated form of vitamins you would have to worry, otherwise you are safe ;).
Furthermore, I don't even think it is possible to not exceed RDA's of certain vitamins when your eating or drinking fruits all day and eat some raw yolks/fish, without being extremely focused on it.
And if for example too many vit. C was realy lethal, I would be so dead right now!!!

Side note: On the diet, the thing that helped me most was not washing my face.
I just didn't wash it for days... Sounds gross, but it's absolutely true.
I sprayed it with rosewater morning and night and my skin was fabulous!
I never wash my face anymore! That is, I just use rosewater on a cotton disc (dabbing) usually mornings and evenings, but sometimes I even forget to do this if i didn't use any make-up. I only use eyeshadow and pencil though, no foundation or powder on my skin.
I sometimes put coconut or olive oil on it when the weather is cold for protection.

When on the (100%) diet the skin needs much less cleaning in my experience. I think it is because fewer toxins need to be evacuated from the body via the skin.

I encourage you to keep on the diet and leave out the make-up! Your skin will eventually be beautiful!
And don't despair, we all have cravings, after sometime they bother you less and less!

Regarding Steak Tartar: Personally, I have a problem with the ground beef. Either it is of lower quality then the carpaccio beef or is irradiated (inspite of what the butcher said) or the grounding does something to it. Or it could be the combination with the egg yolks. I have felt sick twice afterwards, and do not eat it anymore.

If you can hold two weeks you'll feel great and great about yourself!
Good luck!

You could try unground beef. I never grind it.

I ground the beef when making steak tartar, but I buy it
in a whole piece and grind it myself, in my hand-powered
grinder :) Tastes delicious, and I feel well after eating it.

That is realy strange, mine looks the same! Maybe the difference is in the materials where it is made from? After grinding meat, it smells and tastes like there is some kind of metal in it :?
