That might be the bile acids released in response to this much fat at once.
I have heartburn just the other day too upon lying down on bed to sleep. It was about 1hr later after consuming salmon.

How long does it take to digest salmon?

Just as a reference:

From http://www.mydr.com.au/gastrointestinal ... /heartburn
Heartburn is usually caused by a defect in the valve connecting the stomach to the oesophagus. The valve should be a one-way door only allowing food down into the stomach, but if it does not close properly then stomach contents can go back up into the oesophagus.
Anyway, what do you mean bile acids are released? Do they flow back up the oesophagus? But why do I get heartburn every once in a while and not every time I eat salmon? I eat a constant intake of salmon(80 to 130g). So I do not think its that much fat.

Did you experience this before?

Bile acids are made in and secreted by the liver.
Their main function is to make dietary fats in the small intestine soluble, for digestion.
Do they flow back up the oesophagus?
Normally, they dont.
But why do I get heartburn every once in a while and not every time I eat salmon?
As heartburn is not a normal / standard effect.

Is the barramundi fatty?

Losing weight

How many types of weight are there? I realized I have been losing weight. Is it muscle weight? My shorts are dropping! Is it because of not eating enough protein or sugar or both?

Im not sure about your question, but there is
A: bones and organs
B: muscle weight
C: water
D: fat

You can lose water, fat and muscle weight, but not A (normally).
I realized I have been losing weight. Is it muscle weight?
Maybe, and / or water / fat.
My shorts are dropping! Is it because of not eating enough protein or sugar or both?
That depends on what it is.
Do you always feel energetic?

Well, lately when I wake up, I am so hungry! My stomach feels empty and light! Does that mean my glycogen depots are empty? Previously I was able to lie on the bed for a few more minutes. But nowadays I am so hungry that I have to go eat something immediately!

How do you define energetic? Sometimes my stomach feels light. I am not sure whether that means my glycogen depot is empty or that my 'immediate/true energy depot' is low.

Its not about your stomach.
Stomach hunger is about your stomach,
but the need for energy has nothing to do with your stomach.
Just try to establish how you feel: do you feel energetic, or not?
When in doubt, flex your muscles; do they feel powerful, or weak?
Are you ready to run a little, or you rather need to sit down?

How about the above for the rest of the day?

I am sorry, I am talking about my abdominal muscle, not stomach. It's easy to confuse the two since they are at the same spot. Sometimes when I am sitting down, and I have to stand up to grab something, my abs feel weak. It's like I don't feel like standing up. When I am standing and making juice, my abs feel weak too.

I hardly exercise at all. When my abs feel weak, is it because of low energy or because of not exercising the abs or both?

I think its the lack of exercise.
Are you often ready to run a little, or do you generally feel so weak that you rather sit?

I am not ready to run, but I am not sure whether that's due to laziness or low energy.

Then try ingesting more sugars (not in one sitting, but in lots of small meals).
It will probably make a difference.
