You can also use disposable gloves.
or if just wiping with toilet paper or rinsing it with water on the bidet (yes, I am a guy that uses this :oops: ) is enough. What do you think?
I always use dry toilet paper first. Then a wet tissue ('moist toilet paper'), and again dry toilet paper.

Ah!, and Kasper, another examples are alcohol, drugs... They completely take over you. Even a zen master sedated wouldn't be the same zen master anymore.

I used to use them to make my OJ because my hands were completly orange. Then I bought a rigid ones, because the oranges were still painting my hands. But I am going to utilize the disposable for the eggs :)

Those ones that are usually made for babies? I am going to try that! Ty :)

Gloves and food

Read this article on gloves:
https://www.frost.com/sublib/display-ma ... id=7811388
Here is a quote from that article:
"The Japanese Health and Welfare Ministry kept secret a report compiled in February 2001 that revealed a high concentration of DEHP in boxed lunches sold at convenience stores. The substance is believed to have permeated the food via plastic gloves worn by the workers who prepared the boxed lunches."

Macrocytosis

Post by Novidez »

Today I got my blood tests. I still didn't receive them on my email, but I'll put them in my journal when possible.

I got this observation. Reading the symptoms, it all makes sense:

- Shortness of breath;
- Palpitations;
- Pallor.
- Loss of appetite
- Ringing in the ears (tinnitus).

Never mentioned pallor nor ringing in the ears, because I thought I was ok. It is really related to anemia (Macrocytic Anaemia).

What should it be? Vitamin B-12 deficiency? Or am I ingesting too little Vitamin B-12?
I'm really afraid if I am having Vitamin B-12 malabsortion because of a bacteria...

I'm wondering if the eggs I was eating were so bad that their nutrients didn't correspond to their real nutrition values. However, I started to feel the symptoms way before... According to my past eatings, should I be missing Vitamin B-12?

I'm afraid of this bacteria:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicobacter_pylori

Speculation doesn't solve anything, I know... But, could it be that he entered my system, I got really numb for the first days and now I am adapted to it?
I asked the doctor to check this bacteria but she didn't let me...

Fasting almost 15 hours.

It is in portuguese, hope you can still understand. Anything you don't, please ask me to translate :)

Things that I wonder:

- Erythrocytes - 4.11 x10¹²/L :: 4.50 - 5.90 -> How can I raise them?
- MCV - 104 fL (Macrocytosis) :: 80 - 100
- Platelets - 173 x10^9/L :: 150 - 400 -> I know that they are between the interval, but having them close to 150 is a bad thing?
- Glucose - 95 mg/dL -> It's normal that, even fastening, the glucose levels can raise like this right?
- Urea - 13 mg/dL :: 15 - 39 ; 2.2 mmol/L :: 2.5 - 6.5 -> What is this suppose to mean? Low protein intake?
- Total Cholesterol - 179 mg/dL
-- LDL - 122 mg/dL
-- HDL - 47 mg/dL
-> Can I lower the LDL and rise HDL? :?
- Alkaline phosphatase - 45 UI/L :: 46 - 116 -> Herm, ok?
- Vitamin D -> I know it's pretty normal to have it lower the norm
- Urine:
-- pH = 8.5 -> I think it's the first time I have alkaline urine in my life lol. Pretty normal on Wai right?
-- Aspect: Cloudy -> I'm been checking the next couple days and it's always clean. Dunno why was cloudy that day...
-- Ketone Bodies -> RRM, even though I don't have ketone bodies in my urine (15h fasting), when I am IF, is my body using ketones for energy nevertheless?

MCV - 104 fL (Macrocytosis) :: 80 - 100

Perhaps, I overreact a little bit, but I want to 'fix' this.
I must be honest that I'm quite sad I couldn't check my Vit B12 levels and I can't check them that sooner for now... Maybe in the end of May, I may be able to have a doctor that let me check them.

I just don't like to read these symptoms: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pernicious_anemia

I don't feel them that much anymore, but, could that be when I was ingesting too much energy was causing bacteria overgrowth and hence the symptoms? Damn, I hate to speculate, but I speculate so much. I want answers and the doctors just call me crazy. Even my feces I would have liked to have them checked too...

I know that I am tunneling my vision on Vit B12... Though, is it possible to have lack of VitB12 symptoms that fast?

No, a B12 deficiency takes a long time to develop.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can also be caused by malabsorption, and the use of specific medications.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can manifest itself as anemia.

Yeah, that's what I was fearing of... If some bacteria was influencing my absorption of Vit B12.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can manifest itself as anemia.
My eyes were a little yellow on those days. I was a scared if I was anemic, since I also said that I was feeling my knees and legs a bit numb. But maybe that could be explained by the squats I did when I exercised. I could have just injured them, or injured my joints... And, regarding my eyes, there can be other explanations for that too. I don't know...
I couldn't check my Vit B12 levels, so I'll just have to wait for the next blood tests. But they are probably fine, I hope. Since B12 deficiency takes a long time to develop and I am not feeling bad lately. Only my knees, specially my left knee that is a bit weak.

Some time ago in Italy, I have tasted really ripe orange and difference is huge compared with those in here.
Yes, the difference may be big, but still, the body usually has no problem adjusting absorption rates accordingly.
How can we be sure that we are ingesting all the nutrients? It is said that, nowadays, the fruits Human produces are essentially sugar. Sometimes I wonder if the fruits I'm eating have the essential nutrients. Even from eggs I wonder too :/

Why do you think your eggs and orange juice are devoid of nutrients?

If you want to be really sure, you could do a blood test.

Well, some eggs that I bought from the supermarket were really pale and didn't taste that good... But I want to believe that they have all the nutrients of course!

Come on, you too? I've already did some blood tests, viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3729&start=135#p43409
I should have opened a new thread ;D.

As I said, I'm quite sad because I couldn't check all I wanted, for example, Vit. B12, Iron... The doctor simply didn't let me lol.

Emeira wrote:Probably from overeating on fruits and any other acidic food.
Hmm... I don't know about that. You made me wonder now.
RRM, is this true?
Since I started Wai I never felt heartburn anymore like I used to. I mean, for sure fruits are more acidic, but our stomach counter acts it by producing alkaline gastric fluids right? And the opposite happens when people eat cooked foods, for example, which are mainly alkaline. Which is worse: the excess acid produced by the stomach or the acid from fruits?

Unless the stomach doesn't function like this and heartburn isn't related to acid at all.
