While visiting with these old people Doctor Jensen made a few startling observations:

not odd at all, just a small sample size

You'll always find exceptions to rules if you only look at a few individuals

Also, who knows what age is possible to attain? All this says is that people on a cooked diet can attain these ages.

Now we just have to find how old we can get on a raw food diet... (excluding milk, of course)

Thats the idea, yes. 3 groups of rats / mice; 1 group fed a 100% raw diet, the other 2 the cooked version of that same diet, with one of these groups supplemented with vitamins etc (so that the factor of 'lost nutrients due to cooking' is excluded)
First the osteoporosis experiment though.

That specifically is not the case indeed, but many aspects of their metabolism, including bone-metabolism is very similar to ours. Stuff that is toxic for them, is toxic for us as well. Though their digestive system is far less similar.
The many similarities are one of the reasons why so many tests are done on rats / mice.

A similar test has been done. I don't remember all the details but one thing stuck with me. The group of mice fed only fruit did extremely badly. The mice were aggressive towards each other and humans and ended up slaughtering and eating each other. Their offspring had non shiny fur, poor bone structure and could mostly not reproduce. The group that received added foods such as raw egg yolk/ cheese turned out good natured and well developed with healthy offspring ...
Interestingly, my experience with raw vegans is that they are moody, pale and skinny. Especially after a while on the diet.
