raw cream

Postby johndela1 » Sun 16 Jul 2006 20:50

Would raw cream be considered a good munch food or should I completly cut it out? I like having raw cream on blue berries. I was thinking since cream is low protein it would be much better than milk.

Also, does cream have the appetite enhancers that milk has?

Since I am on the primal diet I don't have any issues with dairy products - as long as they're RAW - nonpasteurized. You have to try for yourself.

I think the protein contents don't differ that much. They seem to lie around 2-3%. I would think that they both contain opioid peptides, but I'm not sure.

Oscar,

I'd like to know for sure. If cream does contain opiod peptides I'd cut it out, because I am trying to be lean and not overeat. Are you saying cream has the same amount of protein as milk?

csamo001,

I have no immediate issue with cream but am trying to stick to the wai diet. I'm specifically asking if cream would be a good 'munch food' item, considering the wai diet criteria.

Wai has a recipe with cream in the munch-food part of the book.
Personally I go without any diary since I have problems with to much mucus forming in my lungs.

Depending on the type of cream; a bit less.

I may try raw cream in my coffee as I am getting back to the Wai Diet...I can cut out every other cooked food but I love my coffee with cream so much!

I would like to try raw cream and use it as a munch food..... :D :D :D
