Can one be allergic to Olive Oil?

Post by anotherone »

hi, I have hemorrhoids and I have a problem with drinking olive oil. Olive oil makes my stools really STING afterwards. In fact, other non-animal oils make my stools sting too - coconut oil etc...

I can eat tons of animal fats and oils with no problems... Does anyone have any idea how this could happen. I would just love to have an explanation, a work-around would be even better.

I know 100% that it is from Olive Oil, so no need to ask me if I am really sure :)

It might be an adverse reaction to specific fatty acids, or to a certain ratio of fatty acids.

finding the actual cause may prove to be a very long road ahead. working around it is much easier.
simply dont take any plant oil. You dont need that oil specifically anyway, all you need is fat, and you can get that from fish, nuts and avocado. And if you want to add some oil to your oj, you can use fish oil, for example.
