Have you tried extremely ripe oranges? (no acid, sour taste, no bitterness, just sweetness)

I have tried them all. I was that way as a child too. But once in awhile I buy some (have some now) and think I will give it another try. I had an Orange yesterday, with an hour or so I a painful tummy and still when I went to bed, and slight indigestion all day.

Ah, ok. Maybe its an oversensitivity to specific amines in oranges, or to specific fruit acids.
My first idea would be citric acid, as oranges are high in citric acid (1%). If that would be the case, you would have the same reaction to kiwi and grapefruits, as these fruits also contain 1% citric acid, and even more so to granadilla (3% citric acid) and lemons (5%).
If not, what other fruits are a problem for you?
