You've heard 'you are what you eat'? I take it a step further and say, you are what the animals you eat, eats.

Farm salmon are raised in poorer conditions than wild and feed food. Natural salmon are red from what they eat, farm salmon have dye added to their diet (I think).

I equate it to eating factory farmed eggs as opposed to free range eggs.

Better avoid smoked salmon, it's not a good munch food and of course taboo on the sample diet.
