no nonsense avocado salad...100% wai (no munch food)

Post by Corinne »

Cut a ripe avocado into bit size pieces in a salad bowl.
Peel a grapefruit (like an orange)
open sections removing tuff skin and white outer peel (over your bowl)
Mix grapefruit pulp (and juice) in with avocado chunks
Pour Olive oil on top...
and it's ready! Enjoy!

Yummy! Just had it right now.

Corinne.

I'm not a fan of mixing avocado's with juicy fruits but this sounds delicious!

I love the title of the recipe too! Ha!

New salad!

Post by Corinne »

Serves 1 (generously)!

1 avocado
1 or 2 mandarin(s)
1/2 apple (graded)
10 raisins
2 walnuts
Olive Oil and lemon (or orange) juice

Slice the avocado in thin long slices and make a bed on a plate or soup bowl
Cut the mandarin sections in half and spread on top of avocado
sprinkle the graded 1/2 apple, the raisins and the walnuts on top.
Olive oil and lemon or orange juice to taste.

Enjoy!

avocado combinations

Post by Corinne »

At the moment besides the apple/mandarin/avocado salad, I'm really into combining the avocado with other sweeter fruits.
For instance:
I like 1 avocado with a pear and OO
or 1 avocado and a mango with OO of course...

and then every now and then i go back to Avocado/tomato/cucumber...

I've been trying this out because recently I've wanted to reduce my intake of sweet fruits replacing these with more avocados.
