Not personal experience from stretch marks perhaps, but
RRM has a lot of personal experience with this diet, and
he has a strong sense of logic.

Stretch marks appear when the skin is stretched. That will not happen
if you do this diet correctly, as you will probably loose a little weight.
If you have old ones, I have read that they never heal, and that creams,
lotions and potions do not work to remove them either.

Off topic: It seems like you girls got of on the wrong foot. Remember
that sometimes it can be very difficult to understand exactly what someone
else is saying, or rather writing, on a forum like this, since our language
is limited to writing and using smilies, no tome, volume of voice or
body language. It can be very easy to misinterpret another persons
message.

Even though I didn't lose that much weight (5 or 6kg or so), now I'm more or less again like I was during my teens, which people consider to be skinny.

What is skinny or what is fat, and indices, are based upon what is considered 'normal'. What is 'normal' is based upon how the majority of people look. So if the majority of people is too fat, then that'll be considered normal.

Indeed it can. But everything is cool now, we sorted things out. :D

A scary possibility but not a true one I think (I hope!)
I had some that completely disappeared, and some are fading.
But it does take an excruciatingly long time...
I guess I'll have to live with them :/

we actually got off on the right foot, but it took a weird turn.
there were no cat fights though; sorry boys :P
and yeah unfortunately everything you say could be interpreted differently no matter how nice you might have meant it, depending on a person's history (which you're not aware off).
but I'm glad Iris is a reasonable person and explained to me why i was out of line; so we're cool! :D

I totally agree! I think with BMIs and numerous other numbers you completely forget the human factors of what a normal weight is. Especially since you can't see the person, you just have this distorted image of someone according to all these numbers.
so, sorry again Iris, it was probably my fault for stretching you in my mind like an overpixilated picture of a model :P
And since I live in North America our perceptions of weight are definitely skewed in comparison to your European ones... I mean, I'm a bit overweight but I'm still one of the skinny people around.......

It's alright, you're not the only one to blame. I'm a bit to sensitive sometimes ;) You couldn't have known. But thank you though.

I agree with Oscar too. When I'm like 50 kg there are indeed a lot of people who think I'm to thin. It's exactly the same with my mom. She has never been fat, but on Wai she also lost a few kilo's. She is 51-52 kg and 1.64m (she has got a very feminine figure with nice hips etc and a flat stomag, and little fat) but many people even think she is too skinny. And my "little" brother's new girlfriend; she's 1.84 and 56-58 kg. I think she looks beautifull, but I always see people (read: my family [aunts, oncles, grandmother etc]) look at her the same way they looked at me when I was 50 kg... very disapproving, like we're inferior or something :? I even lost someone very close to me (at least, I thought she was....) because I lost weight! She couldn't handle "what I had done to myself", as she called it. And she kept trying to convince me to gain my weight back again, because she liked me better back then :?
How someone feels obviously isn't an issue for many people......

that's horrible.
I mean, obviously that person cared for you in her own ignorant way
but why do people insist on changing others into something they're not?
i mean if you don't like who i am, find new friends!

even though i can be very opinionated myself,
i pride myself in giving people a chance to convince me otherwise.

speaking of which, it's been a week and 2 days and my skin is fabulous!
my hair is not as flat, my nails are strong and i've lost 3 pounds even though I ate a bucket of chinese food (but it was well within the bounds of the munch food limits!). I was even shocked, because i ate so much fat and fried things i thought i'd gain weight but i lost some...
I guess I have my proof Wai and RRM are geniuses! :P

I also discovered something very tasty: pine nuts!
they have the aroma of pine and a bit of an aftertaste
but they're so addicting!
I was wondering if they're ok, cause I know almonds and pistachios are not.

Aaagh, it's been a while now. So be it. Rather seen it different, but what can you do. ;)

Wow! That's great. I know such "victories" can be very supportive in maintaining something like this. So keep up the good work! :P

pine nuts

Some are sold raw/unroasted/in shell in the United States... there was a company awhile back that verified this to me via email.

They sold the nuts in the above form for about USD20,00 per lb.

Botanically, they are not considered nuts, but seeds. (and seeds are not included in this diet)
Seeds without the shell deteriorate rapidly (they become rancid within days / weeks), and generally, the commercial seeds are therefore not really raw.
According to wikipedia: "The eating of pine nuts can cause serious taste disturbances, lasting for days or weeks. The taste disturbance develops approximately one to three days after consumption" ... probably due to triglycerides (=3 fatty acids + 1 glycerol molecule linked to eachother) of 16-18° unsaturated fatty acids.
