Exercise and glycemic index

Post by Rivera »

When we exercise, let's say bodybuilding, is the glycemic index of the fruit important? Should we eat fruits with high glycemic index?

And when you train, if you take a 10mn rest; then go back to exercise, can you eat 1 fruit during this pause (for energy)? Or it's not recommended?

Which fruit is better for weight lifting?

If you just keep replenishing your blood sugar, then I don't think it matters.

Yes, you can eat fruit (or drink juice) during training.

Indeed. Its just about sufficiently replenishing what has got lost, as often as possible.
Juices are much more effective than whole fruits, as whole fruits require energy to digest.
I find grapejuice (extra sugar added) to be most effective during training.
