It doesn't. Not specifically at least. Following the principle of ingesting energy whenever you need it, you just have to make sure that continues during and after a workout.

as far as building muscle; this diet is not concerned with spiking anything into the muscle, right after a workout?

This diet is not, but its you, the dieter, who perfectly can (with this diet).
Actually, this 'diet is concerned' with getting sufficient energy to your muscles all the time. With this diet, you keep drinking energy while exercising, and as much as you need right after the exercise.
Right after an exercise I always feel the need for extra energy, so I take it.
It should be you that listens to the needs of your body, and if you listen well, you will also egt the signals from your muscles.
