All U.S. members of this forum (and any other people too, of course), please read this:

Hugely interesting.

I think there are far more companies, not directly associated with 'defense', which could be listed... :?

You're right, Oscar... but this is an interesting list nonetheless.

Not that I didn't suspect something like this... I mean I saw Farenheit 9/11. But still to read in "on paper" "black on white".
Thanks CG.

What would you all think of this?:

We start a WaiNewsletter. We can have a section on diet, a section on local news to certain areas, and also expose companies for the horrible things that they do. Each one of us could distribute the newletter in their own area. We would have Northern Europe, Florida, California, Japan, etc. Just an idea. What does everyone think?

Oh yes, count me in. I can distribute in Scotland and then in South Africa when I go home for visits. And you all know I love ranting about global corporations... and various other aspects of the modern world. So I'd be happy to write for the newsletter. :-)

A newsletter is usually for members of a club or organization, who are you intending this newsletter for?

it was just a thought. My intentions are to inform citizens of the world around them, since the local newspaper doesn't do it. Get the word out in another way than the internet.
Having the WaiSays attached to it may be more harmful, so it may not be a good idea.

Personally, I think newsletters come close to advertising (if you didnt ask for it), and when it doesnt, we are only reaching those who already know about it. No?

Hmm.... I'm afraid I agree with you, RRM. If it is unsolicited, people will read it as though we are trying to sell them something (a product, a diet, a worldview, etc). I didn't think about that at first. And if it isn't to be related to WaiSays at all, then we might as well just offer our writing services to magazines that already deal with many of the issues we discuss here on the forum, like, say, AdBusters.
