Take a look at this site. It's an interesting view about food intake regulation.]

The question is. Are we really low in energy when we feel hunger? Seems it's not that simple.

Its not that simple indeed, as there are different types of hunger
and different types of energy.
On this diet we predominantly 'listen' to our blood sugar level
and to a lesser extend to our glycogen levels.

There's also the "hunger/need" for addictive substances, which complicates things even more (not on this diet of course ;)).
