Speed of eating

Post by Kookaburra »

Do you take your time to finish, say, 100 grams of salmon? Or do you gobble it as fast as possible? Are there any benefits in taking your time? If you are eating fast, will that cause indigestion or something?

I take my time because its so delicious, and i want to carefully taste every bite.
Taking your time is also better as then it gets chewed in smaller bits
and mixed with saliva,
so that it gets digested properly.
I never experienced any indigestion on those rare occasions that i had to gobble it, though.

Eating while walking isn't good too eh? I always see people eating their sandwiches as they walk from shop to shop in the city.

No, as it usually results in poor chewing.
