Eeks! Was I unfriendly to a family recently??

I'm not sure, but androgens can influence acne through sebum production. The effect is very individual though, and they aren't the cause of acne.

Jerry,
There is a post in the old forum where Wai says that she doesn't think it makes a difference. Hope that helps!

Eeks! Was I unfriendly to a family recently??

Ha ha, I sense a cultural war coming on! Remember that Americans are very prude about nudity compared to Europeans. The only time that we are ever, ever exposed to nudity is on a pornographic level (which is silly, because such suppression just pushes our ideas about the body to new heights of sexualization, raising our desire for it)! As a result, we are taught to see nudity (and sex in general) as "dirty"--which is crazy.
So when I saw your picture ( ), I had to get over my "shock" for a minute before I could get the joke. Just be thankful that you are in Europe and won't need years of psychotherapy to address this issue...

In general, I also feel much more sensitive!! I thought it was just me (wow, I love this forum.) Am excited to start my new oranges and avocado diet.

 Haha, no wars here! (Bush has declared enough of those for a millennia...) I wouldn't have scolded Oscar for not being "family-friendly" and then gone on to talk about my orgasms if I wasn't just ribbing him a bit  We Americans most certainly do have psychoses about nudity, though, don't we? I find myself scrolling past the picture as fast as I can, lest my mother see it and ask "What is THAT?!" and I would be left to answer "It's just a tribe of nude Waiians, Mother...they want to, um, "slaughter" poor Oscar...because they ate avocados and oranges, you see....."

Ditto here ladies.

I wonder what about the men? Since they don't have hormonal flunctuation like we ladies do, do they go through these 'sensation flux' as well? (Just trying to understand the opposite sex here)

Well, since going on this diet, I feel like I want to find a 'natural', 'clean' woman and start a family (even though i'm only 22).......I agree with Thomas and others who see the opposite sex as being less 'appealing' or 'attractive'. This diet has really change my hormones and my desire for sex and relationships. I look for women who are understanding of the philosophy and who are willing to try. Having a conversation with someone who understands/tries/or challanges the diet is so much more attractive sexually and emotionally than someone who just shrugs it off and continues to eat the poison that is advertised and spoon fed to us by the evil unknown hand.
I don't think the diet effects testosterone as much as estrogen, but if a man clears his mind and body of the toxins from commercial diets, of course, he must develop a new sense of desire.
I have tried to explain this diet to so many friends, but the response has mustly been negative. It is those positive times that have triggered my sexual sensations.
I hope i am making sense here. I haven't really been able to explain these feelings to friends because they don't quite understand why i don't eat meat or dairy, etc. So, all these new emotions and hormones I have had, I've kept to myself. Mostly because the ignorance surrounding me.
So, i agree with the females that my hormones have changed, although on different levels.
Any other males have similar feelings?

yeah, that's why this diet is so emotionally transforming. Sensation and experience are much deeper... those few times people actually respond is a powerful experience.

Wow rischott!

That is EXACTLY how I feel too. Compared to my preferences of finding a partner prior to this diet and now, my preferences changed 180 degrees.

Now, I find the opposite sex unappealing just because of their diet. Regardless of their great looks and personality, they are still sexually unappealing.

This is because I embrace this diet with all my heart just as how people would put their faith on a religion. It has changed me into a better person and has made me grown more into a woman.

I would rather be single than have a partner who doesn't appreciate the beauty of this diet.

Well, from what I can gather, the other residents here now refer to me as 'crazy James' (although how much of this is due to my insistance on following a raw food lifestyle is debatable...!); each evening they greet me as I arrive, carrying bags of reduced fruit, and politely ask questions about the diet ('Aren't you cold...?' etc.).

Anyway, to return to the topic, I too have become rather fussy over what consistutes the 'ideal partner'. My previous girlfriend was a heavy smoker of both tobacco and canabis and - perhaps due to her nationality - enjoyed meats and cheeses.

These days however, I simply cannot imagine a relationship with someone who continues to abuse themself through smoking and eating 'dead' food - perhaps a little unfortunate given the country in which I currently live (my 'lonely hearts' advertisment does not mention vegetarianism, much less raw)!

Take care,
James

I discussed something like this yesterday with my cousin, who isn't on the diet, but is an ex-smoker. He said he couldn't have a girlfriend who smokes anymore. For me that would be the same, regarding smoking. I'm not sure I would put the same restriction on diet, but it would pose certain problems I guess. Since my girlfriend and I started the diet together, things went smoothly in that regard.

Well, Crazy James (IMO a more fitting nickname would be "Polite James", but Crazy James works for me ;)), I heard that japanese women are usually very obedient (arigato gozaimasu and such), so I'm sure you could easily convince one to do the diet...? ;)

About sexual experiences, I do think I'm more sensitive in general, so it seems that orgasms are more intense in a certain sense.

I chose 'Avalon' because I felt it harkened back to Lord of the Rings, and not because of gender...so I find at this moment I don't want you think think I'm either :) ehem...

Not so long ago, in a distant land, I was in really terrific shape. Maybe the best in my life. I was on Atkins at the time and I was lean and happy. How do I not give anything away...I met someone who I liked very much, until they stood up and I noticed quite a bit of over-weight before me.

Here I am for the first time in my life, feeling in control of my body and thinking, 'Do I want to date someone who is not into keeping fit?'. Or, I wanted someone who felt the same as I. And I try try try not to judge...so...

I chose not, to date this person.

However, here I am, seven years or so later with an extra 35 lbs on me!

Now, I am working back to my set-weight. I never thought I could like raw egg yolks! I still don't understand why I LOVE Sushi! I've written before I have a neighbor who simply won't try an egg yolk! I want to share this with someone, but who? Praise God, hallelujah!

It's a tough call, being this way, living this way, when other people are living their way...

Best to all!
